hi Ladies, I am wondering if some of you can give me your input. I have been having severe digestion problems for 3 yrs now. Sick with Lyme + for 15.. Anyway, had my scope done last July found a HHm gastritis etc etc..anway, for the last 3 years I have been having a REALLY hard time swallowing. Its to the point for the last almost yr everything I eat is mushed up like baby food and there is ALOT I can no longer digest..
Anywho, this month, actually right at this moment I am having my period and low and behold , today is day 2 I CAN swallow more than I have been able to in the last year. I ate pea soup today with BIG chunks of ham it in usually I have to take the ham out mush it in the chopper and put it back in. Not today.. I ate it with no problem and then I actually ate tuna fish! something else I haven't been able to get down.. Im thinking this swallowing problem allthough aggrivated by my stomach conditions is HORMONES all screwed up because of the lyme.. Do any of you ladies notice when you get your monthly that some things you deal with each day will get better for that time and when your cycle is over it will go back to bein worse again? I am wondering what hormones would cause this? Thanks a bunch

WOW what timing......yes, i thought it was just me. Said it to myself today....then i was like i must be nutty.
A few of my gyn problems seem to be more tolerable if not there at all 2 days into mine as well. Had burning prior. Pre lyme i would get bad cramps......not anymore now.
Have you had your thyroid checked? Could all the lyme be throwing that off...and during your monthly cycle maybe hormones adjust. Im not too familar with the endocrine/hormone functionality. But i wanted to respond and say i do feel some of my problems do go away during my monthly cycle.
