Does it mean anything if your tests show just one pos. sign as opposed to all 4? This is all so confusing.

Thanks...

I believe the more +'s means the band showed darker, which means more of a load on that band. Buthey I am not a dr that is just my interpretation from reading Igenex paper work.

But my theory is a positive is a positive, no matter how many +'s you got! Hope this helps.

I agree...+ is a weak positive, but it's still a positive! IGeneX says a band is positive if it has ++

Positive is positive is positive. If you show a 1 or even an IND on specific bands, that is indication of Borrelia Burgdorderi. It does indicate a darker band, stronger response, but please don't discount the IND or + if you are using that to determine whether or not you may have Lyme.

Cutie, this is how my beginning LLMD explained it to me:

+ and ++ = 1 not 2 for 2 shown!

+++ = 2

++++ = 3 not 4

If you go to TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE LINKS on 1st screen medical, LOTS of info there on individual numbers.

So whether you have + or ++++ it doesn't mean anything as far as how severe your lyme is?

Do most LLMD's give a positive diagnosis based on one + regardless of which band it's on?

Thanks,
Cutie

I agree 100%!

And....some of the sickest patients are those who can barely register a response, or not at all. Why? Their immune systems are so weak, they are unable to "respond."

Smart LLMD's consider IND's and +'s as POSITIVE.
