I had someone email me today and his wife is 80% blind and about 70% of her hearing is gone. She was diagnosed with lyme in Dec.She is seeing a dr B in PA but I've never heard of him. I need to know if he is an LLMD or not. She definitely needs one. So if any of you have heard of him please let me know.
He charges 1200.00 for the initial visit and I think this is outrageous. I don't know how they found out about this dr since they live in South Carolina. I would appreciate any help.

There is a Dr. B in West Chester, and another Dr. B in Glen Mills. I don't know anything about either of them, though. The price for the initial visit sure sounds ridiculously high!! I'm not sure why they would be coming this far north from SC since there are good LLMD's in both NC and Virginia.

Both of those 'Dr. B's' are LLMD's. Lyme Ed's response that it may have included testing could be the reason for the extreme cost. Your friends should question the doctor about the charges up-front. Most testing (except for some specialty labs) should be billed directly to the insurance company.

There are 2 Dr. B's in pa. One I know of that friends of mine went to and he charges an exorbinant fee. The other one I go to myself and he is a very good (excellent) LLMD and only charges 250.00 plus testing (another 200 bucks or so).
He is VERY thorough and kind.
if you want his name and number private message me and Ill give it to you. pattiecake
