I was told that very high systemic inflammation may not be the norm for CFS patients. Is it common for Lyme patient? I am talking about SED rate around 30, Rheumatoid Factor around 160, and CRP around 14. Is there anything that should be done?

Thanks.

Sorry I am pretty tired and I'm not really sure what you mean by systematic inflamation....

If you mean can lyme patients have swollen joints ... yes ... I have them

I have no idea what those numbers mean though... maybe someone else can help you with that.

I am NOT a doctor but my advise would be to go into the links for newbies (currently on page 1 pushed to the top by treepatrol) and find the list of symptoms see how many you have.

If you feel that your symptoms fall under the possible lyme symptoms I would find a llmd (Lyme literate dr.) We can help you find one...

Just post in seeking a dr.... post what area you are in and your email because we do NOT post llmd's names on this site to protect them.

(They are going after Dr's license of drs that treat with long term antibotics)

Best wishes [Smile] and I hope this helped some.

We have tons of inflammation, but that does not mean that we all have elevated sed rates. MANY Lyme patients have sed rates that are extremely low....like a "3"! Mine is a 3!

I used to have alot of inflammation in my body, but now that I've been through treatment and I'm taking Xango, most of the inflammation is gone. [However, I would not stop the Xango for love or tons of money!]

Anything that should be done? Get treated and be sure to detox with SOMETHING everyday.

Hi,

I don't know about sed rates or crp but I know that people with Lyme Disease can have high RA factors.

There are so many things that can go wrong for us. Hardly anyone has the exactly the same symptoms as another.

You should check the symptoms list in the newbie links or see Dr. B's guidelines in the On-Line Library. They both give many symptoms that you can cross reference with your own symptoms.

I checked the symptoms out years ago and was pretty sure that I had Lyme. I got a blood test through my PCP and it was negative.

I went 9 more years thinking that there was something wrong with me mentally since I just couldn't keep up with the world.

I finally got another test that came back positive. That's when I learned that you need to see a Doctor who specializes in tick born diseases. There are a lot more TBD's than just Lyme and a lot of us have one or more of these coinfections.

Hope this helps,

Corgilla
