Hello everyone,

I am still in the stages of finding out what the h--- is wrong with me.

I was wondering if anyone gets patches of tingling that move to different areas of your body. My nose was tingling for three weeks, now its in my mouth. Sometimes its on my knee.

Just wondering if anyone else gets this?

Lesley

Absolutely. Have had it off and on for 9 years. Gets better with treatment.

I used to wake up every morning with both hands asleep. Thats gone now that I'm on meds. I still have numbness in different parts of my face and neck that move around daily. It especially seems to surface after each Flagyl I take.

The other night I had a crawling feeling running around the right side of my brain, like under my scalp....weird.

Have you been diagnosed yet?

Please check the newbie links, especially under the symptom list. There is a lot of info there.
It is very helpful, and so are so many people on this board.

Welcome, and the very best to you,
Jill

Lesley,

This is an ongoing symptom for me. Last night, the very tip of my nose was numb.

Tonight, it's my foot.

I hope this improves with further treatment; I just have to have hope!

Andie

No, it's not. It is my left cheek. On my face.

Got it all over....it moves around in a lot of areas and stays in some areas, accompanied by twitches and burning sensations and down right pain.

I have continuous tingling that NEVER goes away from the knees down. I've had it since May.

I'm not officially diagnosed though but did have bullseye rashes (3) in 1992.

I see llmd next week.

Oh and I've had every neuro test known to man except spinal tap...all were normal.

My gums have been numb and tingly on and off for months.

It doesn't hurt. Just annoying.

Get yourself to an LLMD right away.

Numbness was one of my first symptoms. Would wake up w/one hand numb. Later it was most of the arm, then it was both hands, then the left side of my face, sometimes my nose, then my feet. The worst was when I woke up and my whole body was numb. Talk about freaking out!

It's gotten better w/abx, but my left hand, feet, and side of my face still become numb occasionally.

What you describe happens to me exactly the way you described it! What's so strange is that you can have it in one area for awhile and then BOOM...it's gone and it shows up somewhere else.

It was explained to me once that this happens because of the myelin being injured and then repaired but I don't recall exactly. Has anyone else gotten a similar explanation from their doctor?

I had the exact same thing. It gets better with treatment. I hardly have it at all now but when I first started tetracycline it intensified.

Are you also being tested for MS? Are you having an MRI?

I have tingling (major) and numbness constantly. I am taking Minocin (branded Minocycline), Zithromax, and pulses of Flagyl. After a five day pulse of Flagyl, it is very intense.

Not sure how long this lasts--mine seems to be intensifying. Heat helps mine.

I have heard foot detox patches do as well.

I am open to any ideas--

I had this for a couple years before my official diagnosis [Frown]

I would wake up after a nap and half my scalp would be numb...my cheeks (both North and South) would be numb, would wake up in the morning with my hands and sometimes an arm completely numb.

Had parathesis in my arm during my worst herx where I couldn't feel it at all - other then a band like tourniquette feeling around my bicep and tricep. It was freaky -
[Eek!]

The numbness started for me 2 years ago. It comes and goes all along the left side of my body.

Now it's usually in my tonue and roof of mouth. I hate it. The neuro said it was "anxiety".

I was just diagnosed last month with Lyme.
