I have been on abx for a year now and recently started Biaxin 500 mg a day. Is this enough, no other abx seemed to work, It seems that all my symptons come out alot more with this one?

Not sure if it could be a herx or not.......

Just want to find something that works.

Biaxin and Flagyl worked well for me for a bit. I was taking Biaxin 4 days and flagyl 3 days. I herxed a lot, but it slowed down. I have cycled with so many different combos is the past 2.5 years that I can't even remember all of them.

At one time it was those 2 AND Isoniazid daily.

After that I did nothing but Chemet for 2 cycles it was to flush out the toxins created by killing off the bugs.

I took Ketek until I heard it was bad, and now I am on Minocycline 2x daily and take Diflucan daily, and Flagl once a week.

It seems no matter when I do I still that the CNS problems, mainly sciatica and other nerve pain, but the mino has cleared up my brain for quite a bit.

[Roll Eyes] I'm not sure ANYTHING will get rid of it completely.

Hi,

I take Biaxin XL 500mg 2x a day, plus Amox 500mg
3x a day MWF. I also add Tinizadole 250mg 2x a day for 5 days a month.

A cyst buster like Tinizadole is very important to get the cyst form out of deep tissue and killed.

I have had lyme 5yrs, treated one yr.

Done a few 6wk rotations of Biaxin plus some other abx over yr.

I feel it has helped me. I am much better.

My LLMD always prescribes 2 different abx at a time. Some synergy makes them more effective.

Also, is your Biaxin the XL? Evidently some abx come in regular or XL (stronger) I am just learning about this.

I bet others will advise.

Best Wishes,

Char

Since August I have always been on a combo of two meds - Currently I am on biaxin XL 500 mg twice daily and 1000 mg ceftin twice daily. This has been a good combo for me.
