Who else here has gastritis thats from lyme??? Im trying everything, but I am not feeling any better-stomach wise.

My energy level was a little higher today though-I guess thats a good thing.

Nancy:
I think you know already that I have and have had stomach issues since last Early November. I was afraid to take any herbs even at first, but very slowly worked my way up on them.

It didn't get much worse until I went on Tetracycline, then the pain and nausea got about unbearable. So I discovered Vitamin C in the form of C-Salts from Wholesale Nutrition out in california.

That helped tremendously, since I no longer took the regular ascorbic acid C. On the regular I was on 1000mg a day, but on the C-Salts I am on 3000 to 4000mg a day. As that is what is recommeneded for Lyme treatment.

I still have some nausea and pain when on antibiotics, but for the week I was off abx my stomach felt pretty good.

It was worse on tet than the doxycycline that I am on now, but it has been kicking up the past week on the doxy too. I will be done with doxy this Saturday. [Big Grin]

Then things should be better. My next protocol included amoxycillin, but I am not sure IF I will go on it or not. THough some have said it is easier on the stomach, I am still leery. I need time for my stomach to heal, or at least feel I do.

I am back on Andrographis now. Stopped Artemisinin yesterday for two weeks.

My stomach is not quite as bad in the mornings, but gets worse throughout the day.

It gets very depressing, so I sure feel for you.

My vision wasn't too good last night, but is better this morning.

Hope you get a better handle on what to do.

I would certainly at least TRY the C-Salts from nutri.com and see IF they help you some too. Once in a while I still take a Tums, but not too often.
I can't take Tums or acid blockers at the same time as Cat's Claw though, so wait a couple hours.

Hope this helps you some.

As I write this tonight, I am feeling really, really BAD. Going to be soon. Hope I wake up in the morning.

THINK I am going to stop my abx tomorrow instead of waiting until Friday night.

Hard to take.

Im switching GI dr's too. Mine is not helping me at all.

hey Nal

I am so sorry to hear you are still having stomach problems.

I hope you get to the bottom of this and keep searching untill you have some answers.

Just want to say of all the meds I have been on. Doxy is the hardest on my stomach.

Could you ask your LLD if there is any other abx to try that isn't so harsh?

I can't remember if you tryed the beciilian shots or not?

Hang in there. You are strong and you will get better someday

Nal,

2 things really helped my tummy when I was on antibiotics. One was aloe vera juice. The other was a product called Super Critical Omega 7. Nothing else seemed to work. Good luck. Hiker

Nal,

I am missing something here. PPI- is proton pump inhibitor, right?

Why did you stop taking them?

Well, I made it through the night.

It was super rough. Awake most of the night, was afraid to go to sleep, didn't think I would wake up.

So I did NOT take any Doxy today. And guess what?

I am feeling wonderful tonight.

I could hardly stand up last night. My head was burning up. My stomach hurt bigtime and was nauseated. My vision was down to almost nothing. Couldn't hardly focus at all and left eye had a blank spot in it. (THAT used to be my GOOD eye).

I could hardly even type last night. Now tonight, I can type fine, can see excellent, and ALMOST feel normal, like I don't even have Lyme.

I don't think I am going back on ANY antibiotics next week. I was going to finish my doxy this Friday, and then take a week off and then hit amoxicillin for 28 days, but not now.

I think I am going to try to finish this regimen without any more abx, UNLESS I have a big setback of some kind.

Gonna stay on Lyme herbs for about two weeks, then hit the Artemisinin and Red Root for 3 days again, then back to the Lyme Protocol. I will also continue having my Amalgams removed from my mouth, replaced with composites. And my last Root Canal tooth removed.

Will keep you posted.

Jim. [Cool]
