Now I can't find where it was that someone asked about it. So, I will repeat the question. Has anyone tried THIS particular colon cleanse?

I have been using a different cleanse, but it is SOOOO hard to use when "on the road" or away from the house. [because you have to mix and drink this yucky stuff 5 times a day!!]

The one in the link involves drinking a mix once a day and taking several capsules. My question is, "Does it work?"

Seeing this topic is comming up, I use a very good intestinal colon clense, very gentile and effective. Intestinal drawing formula made by health force nutritionals. www.healthforce.com You can take this 1x a day or up to 4x a day. It is suggested that you also get intestinal movement formula if you have any issues with constapation. Right now that is not an issue with all the ABX LOL. Tis stuff saved my life in getting the toxins pulled out. I used 3x a day for about 12 days and now only do it about 2x a day .

Lymetoo,

I have tried it and liked it. I did the whole thing--pills, tea, and fiber drink. I still do the fiber every day. Hiker

You can mix the fiber with water or juice. I use water and drink it fast. It doesn't taste bad.

At the start of the protocol you take capsules; wait 20-30 minutes and then drink the fiber. At night you drink the tea. After a month or two you only do the fiber. PM me if you have more questions. Hiker

Havnt tried it but will put my 2 cents in.

I cant use any product with psyllium flax etc cuz they stop me up cold. All fiber products plug me up and since going on the tetracycline going at all has been such a problem.

I found something that has been helping the past couple weeks. Not perfect but helping. Its still a bit of a struggle but I am going.

Its Colon Clenz by Body Gold and I stumbled on it at Walmart while looking for Magnesium oxide which Im taking 1200mgs per day. I may switch back to the glycinate cuz the oxide doesnt help the potty at all.

The Colon Clense is in a veg capsule and just herb stuff and under $8 for42 capsules. Says to take 1 capsule 1-2 times a day.

I am now taking 2 in the morning a 2 at night. I hope it keeps working.

I am just curious how so many of you arte able to tolerate all this type of stuff?

I know for yself a colon cleanse like that would put me in the hospital...even just one of those supplements in those capsules would send me over the edge.....

I have to be so careful I just wonder if its just me or if there are other Lymes that feel this way?

I do have other problems Lyme has caused such as Dysautonomia and a possible mast cell problem so that might be the cause of my sensitivities...

I've done it and absolutely loved it.

Reasons:

1) I dropped over 10 pounds during the cleanse. My pants fit the same, so I know it's junk from inside that accounts for that.

2) I've never felt as good as while on the parasite cleanse. May be coincidental, but I could swear the little bb buggers don't like it [Smile]

3) Regular BM [Big Grin]

4) More energy (possibly from the licorice in the fiber)

I'm still doing the fibers and will NEVER stop.

PS: to address Christine's comment, I've heard of very harsh cleanses and this one is not one; that's why I picked it (this, and thousands of happy customers' testimonies).

It is a SLOW process, not like those short killer programs that would kill any chronic lymie. Patience is the key. Really worth trying.

Thanks Chris - I'm glad to hear how much it helped you!

I read some of the ingredients and I know some of those herbs alone I have had bad reactions to such as Pau de arco, and some others I forget right now.

Also I was worried to read about the senna sine I know it has been linked to cardiac arrythmias...and I have a malfunction in my autonomic nervous system...

since you did the cleanse what do you think?

Did you ever react strongly to supplements but did well with this program?

Thanks for your help [Smile]

Christine, dotox is not easy on the body. Most of do have a bad reaction to doing cleanses or anything that eliminates toxins.

These toxins don't go down without a fight and they take you with them. So it is normal for some to feel worse before better.

Your thinking that you are having a bad reaction is actually your body detoxing and move these toxins around.

What I would suggest for you and your sensitivity is for you to start slow. Don't start with recommended dosages on this stuff. Build yourself up to recommended doses so it's not so unpleasant.

When you detox ugly stuff, it gets uglier until it gone. I remember 3 yrs ago when I did a 7 day cleanse with no food and supplements only...it was the absolute worst herx of my 6 yr lyme illness. On day 2 I thought I was going to die.

It wasn't me dying, it was my organs dumping years of toxins and poisons. I had 5 colonics during that period and you wouldn't believe the crud my body expelled.

Pam

Thanks Pam - Yes I know detox is hard on the body....but I think there is a point where it can get dangerous just like too much of a herx...

I have tried these types of things so many times.....but even if I dump almost a whole capsule out and take the tiniest amount I end up in a ball moaning....

I am not sure if its b.c of my other health issues being triggered...

I have never tried this particular cleanse though and might ask my naturopath about it...

Thanks again !

Map, I agree with you and Christine.

I've only been on abx since June. There's a wealth of valuable information on this board about so many things, and I thought I would take it to heart.

So a few months ago, I started to increase my detox regimen, in preparation for doing a major cleanse.

I took a hot detox bath at least once a day. I drank several cups a day of detox tea. Used detox foot pads each night. Taking a product with psyllium every night.

Anyway, instead of feeling better, I felt progressively worse and was clearly reversing some of the gains I'd made.

It was my acupuncturist who called me on it. She said my body was still too weak to really put it through anything else. And by using these methods, I was inadvertently leeching out good stuff, as well as some of the negative things.

She then put me on a Chinese tea that would strengthen my body further. She didn't suggest that I forego all the other things -- only that I do them in moderation.

So now, instead of the bath once or twice a day, I have one a couple of times a week. I didn't drink the tea at all for awhile and moderated the use of the foot pads.

Little by little, I could feel myself getting stronger.

In my rush to try and get the best of this awful disease, I lost my sense of moderation and a slower healing.

I should quickly say I'm definitely NOT a doctor and should say too that I'm no longer as young and resilient as I once was.

I'm looking forward to getting rid of the yucky stuff when it's time and my body can handle it.

Andie

Andie - You just said it much better than I tried to! LOL

Yes I was told the same thing by my naturopath, that my body was not well enough to clear out toxins at this point ..that it needed to "be" and do small things a little at a time.

BTW: I have the detox foot pads but have not used them b.c I have been ill with the flu.

Do you think they made you detox too hard?

Thanks again! [Smile]

Christine,

I thought you were very clear. I just wanted to corroborate what you'd said.

Re the detox pads: I have six on my feet as I type this.

I didn't have anything but a positive reaction to them -- even at the start. I felt they helped me sleep more soundly, and I felt they helped alleviate the swelling in my leg and pain in my knee.

I liked them because I felt they were both gentle and effective.

Normally, I don't wear three on a foot, but I've started a new antibiotic for Bart, and I know this drug is tough on the liver. I have the pads that have milk thistle.

Also tomorrow, I have a busy day, and I find it gives me that added boost of energy and clarity if I use the pads overnight.

Interestingly (for me) the pads are still drawing out yucky stuff each night and are no different than they were when I first started using them.

I should also say that just recently, someone on the board said she'd had a rash on her foot as a result of using the pads. That's the first complication I've ever heard from anyone using foot pads.

Hope this is helpful.

Andie

It's fiber and should help clean out the colon. I don't have any problem taking it. I know that for sure. But you HAVE to drink LOTS of water when you take it.

Thanks for all the comments. Still deciding which one to try next.

Hey Girl,
What detox did you decided to use?
Did it help?
I am looking at a site that has reviews.
Did you do INtestinal Drawing Formula?

How are you?

From my experience and the experience of many others who have used Colonix, it is by far the best and easiest --- uncomplicated ---- cleanser. I repeat the Colonix ever so often, because I love all that sticky gluten and sticky dairy and am not about to give it up. Health starts in the gut! Colonics are great for instant elimination - but they work the colon only. Watch what Colonix delivers!

Take care.
