My family was having a conversation that often goes on to gross subjects, as is normal for us. The subject of little green balls came up.

Everyone in my family gets them and I don't know if the "normals" get them to. Do you? What little green balls, you are probably asking. These are little green nasty hard balls that drop out of your sinus or come off of the sides of your throat. They can be very small and as big as a pea. They are definetly some sort of infection thingy.

For most of us, they just sort of show up, I can usually feel them coming as mine seem to come from my sinuses. My kids get them in their throats and my son can actually force them out by rubbing his neck and doing some little trick. I just about kicked out of my house when he demonstrated. Sure enough, he coughed one up. Then he went home.

Does this have any relation to our health or is this something everyone gets?

Sounds like infection to me.

Or, parasitic.

Whatever....kinda ....well....humorous.

i had white balls similar to what you describe.

I remember one day i was arguing with my brother and one dislodged.

Mine were on my throat and i could force them out too.

Havent had them in years.

I always thought mine was scar tissue from a very bad sore throat i had.

sounds like an infection cause of the green color.
I brush my tonue everyday with peroide, but put a capsule of apho afterwards to replace the flora

never ever gargle with straight peroxide. You can choke to death. My mom knows someone that did. Be careful.

I have read that Xylitol nasal sray is good for people with sinus problems. I just ordered some and will give it try.

take care

I used to get that but white ones, I would be able to feel it in my throat for a couple of days and then be able to cough it out. They seemed to build up and get caught just behind a flap of skin at the top of my throat, I looked with a mirror one day and could see it hiding there! Haven't had it for years though.

Ill bet your breath gets bad sometimes?
A lot of people get those seems like no Dr talks about it.
White to yellow to green color its infection the little openings in the back of your mouth on both sides plug with this I am not sure if its food jammed in there or all just infection. I had them years ago since all the abx's and diet change I dont get them at all now.

And I never had them before lyme??? Maybe the lyme just stresses the immune system so much it dosnt nip it in the begging then it gets established?

These little white balls (which are disgustingly smelly) come out of the tonsills.

I had some of it examined because I thought it was pus and infective. I was told it's not pus and is the result of the tonsils cleaning out toxins.

Sounds like chronic infection to me- and one the whole family is passing back and forth and susceptible to.

Have you ever looked into the "salt pipe"?
You can order it from England for under $100
and while I have no direct experience with it, I've talked to people who have had chronic sinusitis (and those colored mucous balls) and they said the Salt Pipe worked better than anything (including abx).

Oh crikey... this ones got me going. I've just been looking down my throat with a mirror and I can see them there! I've been having this feeling of having a lump in the side of my throat for ages and I knew one was brewing.

Years ago when I had one before I actually managed to get a cotton bud to get it out (I do not recommend this, it is rather dangerous!) but this one doesn't want to shift - anyone have any tricks? Even my partner has asked if I need any assistance - but its not really something I want to share!!!!

I used to get these as a very young girl (4 or 5), they were whitish. Mom had an ear-nose-throat doc check them out and I had my tonsils out as a consequence. Turns out it was an infection.
