I was just put back onto IV therapy 2 days ago. I am on a very very strong dose of antibiotics, a lot of you may not agree with it but im on 2 grams of rocephin and 1 gram of vancomycin.
Lets just say its kicking my butt.. im so tired, dunno why guess cause im on 3,000 mg's of antibiotics at one time.. hopefully this will help me in the long run. I hear vanco does very well with neuro lyme.. is this true? has anyone else been on vancomycin and had real good results?
Well i just wanted to update, and also see if i could get some input about vanco... ta ta for now

I've never read or heard that vancomycin was good for neurolyme. I have read where it is "saved" for the special strains of strep that other abxs fail to kill. If I remember correctly the studies for neurolyme or (MS)(ALS) being conducted at Johns Hopkin by Jeffery Rothstein uses minocycline. The rocephin will certainly kill lyme and by using the vancomycin, it may make it easier to cross the BB barrier.
