Just found out I tested positive for all of these. My other tests are still pending.
I was told that I have to take 400mgs of doxycycline for this as well as 3000mgs of amoxicillan, that there is nothing else I can take to substitute the doxy with.
Since doxy turns my teeth brown, guess I'm gonna have brown teeth...oh joy.
Anyone have any information on these three infections? Are they very serious?
Thanks

Ehrlichia is no picnic without meds. You should do fine once that is treated. Bart is sometimes hard to clear, but easier to clear than babs, I think.
Q fever?? What's that?
hey, at least they now have the Whitestrips!

Thanks for the response. I just started reading about Q Fever. Apparently it comes from cattle, goats & sheep.
On top of everything thats going on with the lyme, I recently found out my well water is contaminated.
The people we bought our house from hid the failed water report from us at settlement...sooo, I've been drinking contaminated water for about a year & sitting in a hot tub filled with contaminated water.
From what I have read, a person can get Q Fever by inhaling the bacteria (found on cattle farms I guess) or by consuming water with contaminations in it.
Just my luck..I'm just glad I found out. It's treated with doxy as well.

I do not know about Q-fever, but minocycline cured my ehrlichiosis! It is less harsh on the stomach and you don't have to worry about severe sunburn, although you should probably stay covered or wear suntan lotion, still. HIker
