I have a great doctor in Hyde Park NY, but am looking for someone closer to home in VT.
I have found a Dr. B in Northern VT who was recommended by LDA. She corresponds with Dr. A in NJ when there are difficult cases. I have never heard of this guy. I am one of those difficult patients- has anyone heard of a big shot Dr. A in NJ?
Thanks, VLSer

I had a horrifying experience with your current doctor. While fleeing him, I called the Columbia University Lyme clinic, and they offered many new and familiar names, and seemed to know everybody.
However, you do have another option, which you might not want to throw away so fast. Your current doctor will try all sorts of cutting edge treatments, provided you have a good argument for them, and don't make too big a fuss when you ask. Keep the waters still and deep. In the Lyme world, it's always a mistake to search for the one perfect doctor who will have the magic bullet. You are much better off researching every possible treatment and then requesting what you want. A doctor who will easily write prescriptions is very valuable.
The key is this: always present you current doctor with the strongest drug for the health problem you are trying to recover from. Don't play around with his Asian herbs, water purification machines, heavy metal detox (it works very well, but you can do it later), compressed apple rinds, cow's immune factor, etc., until after you've tried the big guns. Don't be intimidated, and don't cave in and try some weaker drug for six months.
If you do this, you should see rapid results. Either your health will improve, or your relationship with the doctor will change, and you will have a much clearer idea of what you are looking for in a new doctor.

Lymetoo asked if there was any other info on these two doctors.......just want to say that the good doctor in Hyde Park is a genius in my book.
After a poor experience with another LLMD who refuses to consider coinfections, I switched to him and made my first and only REAL progress.
I suppose you could find diverse opinions from patients on any one of our LLMDs...most people I know who have seen this man think he's really terrific.
Just my two cents!
