I finally have my appetite back after losing 40 pounds fast (trust me not the way to lose it). Anyway, after buying new clothes so my pants weren't hanging off any longer my appetite came back. I had only been on Levaquin for about a month and hadn't started with the IV Rocephin yet.
I have always loved sugar and I am hypoglycemic but I am finding now more than ever after getting my appetite back that I am craving sugar like never before. It is almost impossible to resist. Can someone tell me what is going on? Is this normal while being treated and killing spirochetes or what??
Thanks for your input! Hope

For what its worth when I was on IV I craved sugar like no tommorow.
My personal theroy is that as I was killing bb off he was sreaming for more sugar. Since they need and live off sugar. This is a wacky theory.
But as soon as I did the strict anti yeast diet and got my yeast under control, I no longer crave suagr as much. So I think the more logical explaination holds true.
Make sure to talk everything over first with your LLMD
Take care dana

That means the 'bad' bacteria is being killed out and yeast is going to be growing SOON, if it isn't already. Having yeast makes you crave carbs and sugar.
You have to follow a strict anti-yeast diet to keep it under control [at least most of us do!].
