Not pleasant topics, but necessary to discuss.

I have been having an increase in nausea and steatorrhea (fatty diarrhea) since beginning Mepron. [toilet]

I hope I won't have to deal with this the whole time. I feel awful.

Is this common?

Steph

I would have amylase and lipase levels checked
as your readings could be high for your pancreas.
Wish I had them done way back when, and maybe I
wouldn't have developed pancreatitis.

Wow, ArtistDi. You developed pancreatitis? Was this a result of the treatment?

It's weird; I had those levels checked a few months back, before the treatment, because of issues with another medicine.

I think I'll put a call in to my LLPA.

I hope you recovered well from the pancreatitis. I know that can be severe.

Thanks for the tip.

Also take a look at Giardia infection - it is a parisite - It also causes greasy stools with dierea. I have had a bought of this for the last 6 weeks of which 2 were really bad. It can be hard to diagnose from stool samples. Are you getting any rumbling in your gut with this? I took 3 days of tindamax and after the 2 day the direha stopped but still have the greasy stool thing. Metronnidazole also kills it off.

Thanks for the info, John.

I'm sorry you are suffering!

I have had cramping with it.

I'm allergic to Flagyl, apparently.

Fortunately, it hasn't been constant. And I'm off the Mepron until Sunday. I wonder if something else caused it.

I have had a very bad night due to Herxing and marital issues. I haven't gotten to bed yet, and it's after 8 a.m.! My LLPA is supposed to call today, but I'll probably miss the call.

I will leave a message for her, and this is one thing I'll mention.
