I have been on tetracykline 1500 mg/day for the last 10 weeks. I no longer herx but still have some symptoms.

Can I add anything more to this treatment to make it more intensive?

biaxin 1000mg/day, tetra 1500mg/day (although I reduced this to 1000mg/day cause I hate it.)

Hi, Humanbeing,

Do you know if Doxy is more powerful? I just switched from Doxy to Tetra and my symptoms relapsed.

Whats the difference between the two in term of effeciency?

Thanks

I'm on tetra too. The herxing had just about stopped, my energy increased and I was feeling so good I did a whole one hour yoga class (yes this is a lot after not being able to stretch or move my arms for 18 months. Then I did another one the next day and a few days later about an hour of an exercise tape.

I haven't stopped herxing since. This has happened several times on tetra, I feel better, increase my exercise and then wham.

if no effect form bromelain, consider shelf life, and whether, or not refrigerated.
one doctor suggested much of the bromelain sold loses its activity with heat, time, or lack of refrigeration.
from what i've read, crude bromelain(meaning from crude processing(?)) is supposed to be best, as opposed to bromelain that has been processed to separate acidic from alkaline bromelain. while referred to as bromelain, there supposed to be a number of different ones, differentiated in several ways, i'm not aware of.

i've seen anavit( a hans nieper,md product) a brand of bromelain in the frig of a nyc pharmacey/health food store. i don't know if this is a crude bromelain, or how differentiated, but its differentiated based on some kind of physico-chemical properties, or group of atoms attached or removed from/to some part of it.

i believe one differentialtion of the bromelains is stem, vs fruit bromelain, perhaps the one being acidic, and the other alkaline.

in any case, i'd go with one thats referred to as coming from or in a crude source of it, and secondly, if it can be had, then from a refrigerater in the store. your more likely to get the refrigerated bromelain from a specialty/compounding pharmacy that also sells nutritional supps. try nycity.

bromelain has been demonstrated to help different medicine regimens do their job effectively.

A macrolide or ketolide antibiotic could be added. I think a cephlosporin would also be unaffected by a tetracycline class of antibiotics.

IF you want to get better WITHOUT getting so sick, try herbs. They DO work, excellent.

NOT the side effects either.
