I found ketek to be tough with the herxing. I did have alot of headaches but not a continuos one like you describe. I got alot of skin breakouts, (acne-like bumps) and got real moody on ketek. Drove my husband nuts with the mood swings.

I've been on Ketek since Sept 04, and I think your headache is due to the herx and/or is a LD symptom itself. Head discomfort of various kinds has bothered me w/this illness (brain fog, headache, electric like currents pulsing through my head), but for the last couple of weeks, I've been mostly free of any of these symptoms.

To get to this point, I had to endure many "Horrible Herx's", some of which I thought were the end of me, and of which I thought I'd never see the end.

As hard as it is, you have to stay the course w/your abx therapy. Persevere, and you will eventually get better...at least that's my opinion.

If it does indeed work against babesia, that could be a babesia herx and babs is well-known for causing headaches.
