My son's Igenix results are in. I haven't actually seen them yet, but the Doctor says that he tested positive for both the IGG and IGM. I'm not sure what this means . . . other than he has Lyme.

This is the 4th Lyme test that has come back positive in four years. Thank God he finally has a Doctor that knows what to do. I hope it isn't too late to reverse the damage.

My concern is that he has had it during his growing years.
(14 - 18 years old). I hope it hasn't caused irrevesible damage to the development/function of his brain. He definitely shows some neuro symptoms.

So far, three weeks on Augmentin and he's more fatigued than ever. We meet with his Doctor again soon.

Igenix did the blood work this last time.

The other three times his blood was sent to Quest.

In any event, whether sent to Igenix or Quest . . . and whether read by a Duck or LLMD . . . everyone read the results each time as positive for lyme.

positivity in:
spring of 2002, spring of 2003, fall of 2005 and spring of 2006

I am hopeful that now that he has a LLMD that he'll get well.

I can't help but feeling like an idiot for not realizing sooner what was going on. I think one of the worst fall outs from this disease is that so many people are loosing so much time. My boy lost eighth grade through senior year in high school. What a shame
