Rob, HOW OLD are you?
I can't remember going for "hours" since my early twenties. WELL, come to think of it I did go for 4 hours straight back in 1999, JUST before I got this Lyme Disease. But that was just once.
But, I am 64 now, so I don't expect it now. I use some chemicals to help out a little bit, sometimes, and have invented an appliance that I use.
But even with that, I find that old age is catching up and NOTHING works like it used to.
I am 42! Other than the Lyme, I dont feel it! Let your partner do most of the work, ofcourse you can jump in somewhere, but not too actively.

Sex? Well, as my dh and I both have Lyme, I hurt too much, and he doesn't really feel up to it, so it is very infrequent - compared to the "olden days". We do try at least once a week for old times sake - and to get the cuddling in. We're just too tired and worn out!
Me? I don't care - he's of the "use it or lose it" frame of mind.
So, bostonlyme, I'm curious about your original post that now says nothing???

I am finally getting my sex drive back since not having it for a long time. How refreshing! Only now though because I am a female who takes 100 mg of Zoloft its impossible to reach my "PEAK" Which stinks because its a double edged sword.
Hope to decrease zoloft soon so I can have a little fun but right now my emotions are far to bad to decrease. I was totally irrational the other day when I wanted to spend time with hubby and he excepted overtime at work so that we can have nice things. Here I am bawling because I was mad at him. I felt like a nutcase but he just held me and let me get it out and cry.
Another annoying symptom of lyme. Posts: 204 | Registered: Jan 2005

I subscribe to the "IF you don't use it you lose it" syndrome, so, I force myself to do it three times a week, usually every other day. IF I wait longer, then I lose desire also.
Plus I have more problems than Lyme to make it harder for me to do it.

Hello there, man withhout an actual message. Lyme interferes with so many of our hormonal issues. As for me, unusually, my sexdrive has actuelly increased for most of te time during my five years of lyme an babasia. Except for the times whe I was very bad. Try whatever you can as long as it doesnt harm you. We Should have at least SOME fun. shouldnt we? Cheers, Petra

Thanks, Magic. WISH I could FIND that MAGIC.
I remember my dad being cut off at about age 65, and I do NOT want that. AND I find the longer I go without it, the less I want it. So MUST push myself. My wife wants it less now than she used to, but tolerates me, so I don't give up altogether.
