has anyone experienced this.

Doc took me off abx, for two weeks, then 30 days of fluconazole, 200mgs a day.

felt pretty good the first week off all meds, then eyes got red and burning again, left cheek burning, and then bam constapation.

started the fluconazole and it has just gotton worse and worse, i eat and i eat and when it comes to the exit, almost nothing, where is it, this cant be good for you right?

Could the fluconazole be killing off a lot of yeast and cause this or what i need some advice this is driving me crazy. Thank you, dj

My own personal cycle is getting diahrea from
yeast (which was caused by antibiotics) and then taking the diaflucan and the diahrea clearing up. I feel border line constipated on diaflucan but I just take magnesium and it gets me regular again. My doc doesn't want me to take diaflucan all the time because it is bad for the liver among other things. I take 200MG Mon Wed and Fri. It seems to depend on what abx you are on too though becasue they all react differently with the ant-yeast stuff.
Good luck! Try magnesium!

I started on three drugs at about the same time -- Ketek, Mepron, and Diflucan. I developed a huge problem with constipation. I always suspected it was due to the Mepron. But over the months, I have taken a break here and there from one or more of these drugs at different times and feel certain now that the main cause of my constipation is Diflucan. Like jsynde, I am taking it less frequently now, which helps. I also need to boost my magnesium. Thanks for the reminder.

I had something similar with the diflucan.

At my last appt my LLMD did not feel that i needed it, but it was up to me to if i wanted to continue. So, after my last herx i stopped, i thought i was getting a double herx with diflucan and abx killing the lyme.

Im more regular now then i was. I was like you, wondering and worrying where it was.

Are you eating some fiber? It might help to add more fiber to your diet.

I also think therelac has helped me as well.

I found diflucan made me extremely thirsty. I drink about an extra quart of water daily when I take it and don't have a problem. I take 4-5 small doses of mag a day, with one at bedtime. I think that one is the most important one.
