I got bit in the spring of 2004 I believe but not really sure. Found an LLMD nearby and she really knows her stuff. I was diagnosed with lyme in December 2005.
Since then on abx, I have had many many herxes the worst of which was when I was on Tinidazole and Zithromax. But now I am defninitely getting better. My LLMD thinks I could be off abx by July.
One of the best things that happened was her diagnosing my hypothyroid problem which was corrected with one armour thyroid pill per day. I lost the 16 pounds I had gained (that's a lot -I am only 5'3 and normally 120lbs) without even trying.
There were times when I really questioned the abx, the toxicity of the treatment, etc. but I just had to have faith in my LLMD. After all, she is the only one that even took my symptoms seriously. So now it is all good. There is hope! Just hang in there all! Julie
