just found my answer which is "no" ... thanks to a post from someone else w/a spreadsheet on all drugs and their class.

Biaxin is a macrolide antibiotic: clarithromycin. Spreadsheet will have information on it and additionally if you google " Biaxin" you can go to Abbott pharmaceuticals home page for it, to learn more information ( Abbott is the manufacturer). Hope this helps.

Ampicillin, Amoxicillin, PenV are penicillins. the two that seem to be most used by people here are Amoxicillin and Bicillin LA (IM).

Penicillins are used to treat Lyme (Amoxicillin, Bicillin etc. ) along with Biaxin.
