Just for fun, I thought I'd mention that since it's spring, we're now in liver/gallbladder season. Traditional chinese medicine proposes the organ meridians have "seasons" where they are the strongest or the weakest. Spring is liver gallbladder, which means for those of us with liver or gallbladder issues (most of us here), we may see an increase in many of the following symptoms. As liver is the main detox organ, in spring we often are overloaded with these "detox" symptoms as the liver "spring cleans":
Skin problems (acne, rashes, oily skin, etc.) Headaches Back/arm/shoulder pain Belching or hiccups Nausea Eye symptoms Increase in candida and other infections Body aches
Feeling angrier or more irritable lately? The emotion associated with liver imbalance is anger, and for the gallbladder it's frustration.
I have to say I would've dismissed the organ meridian stuff years ago as being silly, just as I would for symptom flares during a full moon. But over the last couple of years I have noticed my symptoms following many of these patterns. Very interesting.

This is dead on. My acupuncturist says the same thing and that this is the time when hybernating critters wake up..... I am experiencing many of the above symptoms. I have felt the worst during March and April for the past several years. Spring is the worst season for me

i don't know yet what season is worse or less for me, but this observation by the Chinese could be partly explained by a seasonal change in body chemistry, where, come warmer temps, there is increase in teh sterol content of the body for both genders.
fwiw generally, women and children(both genders) have a higher content of sterols, and men have a higher fatty acid content.
when theres a change toward warmer temps. the sterol content increases over that of the fatty acid content.
so the liver-gallbladder symptoms could be a function of this chang-over in lipid content.
