i have something like this almost every day, i told my llmd about it, and i told him that it feels like if i swam in a chlorine pool with my eyes open for a couple of hours.
he did not know what to tell me, with tetra it got better but now it is back. some nights it bothers me so much i will rub my eyes till they are almost swollen looking around the lids.
I would love an answer for the burning eyes. DJ

I know that now I have really dry eyes. If I do not put drops in them they itch and burn like crazy.
It might not be the same thing for your daughter though... just my expereince.
Actually my eye dr. thinks that my meds are what is causing the dry eye...
I used to wear lenses like 18-20 hrs a day and never had a problem with dry eyes before treatment.
