Franko,

I am so sorry to hear you are in such pain. It sound like many of your symptoms ARE on the long list of lyme symptoms.

As you know, lyme disease can imitate ANY disorder.

I also had horrible GI problems. I got an upper and lower GI, but GI doc said that I had irritable bowel.

It did resolve on its own. For you, you may consider that doxy causes stomach problems, too...also advil or ibuprophen.

You said you have white tongue. This could be yeast. Check newbie links - yeast can intensify the lyme symptoms and cause many GI problems...

You may need to get treatment for yeast to see improvement for lyme.

Also, co-infections. Have you been tested for bartonella, babisia or erlichiosis? These and others are often transmitted with lyme and need individual treatments to resolve.

If I understand you, you have only been in treatment for a little over a month.

This is not enough time to clear the lyme from your body, you have been ill for nine months...plenty of time for a systemic infection to take hold.

Many here find it takes many months or a year or more to get symptom relief.

It took me over two months of treatment to be able to funcion normally.

All of your symptoms and the feeling that your life has gone to hell is reported on this board. I personally went from a normal healthy person to a week, desperately ill skeleton with no muscle mass.

Hang in there, make sure your doc is the best lyme doc you can find and be patient. You will get better but it takes time and pain before the hell moves on.

Best to you...this is a wonderful place to find support, information and comfort through this tough time.

Hi Franko,
I'm sorry to hear of your symptoms. You might want to join the discussions over on the Yahoo Euro Lyme board where you'll meet some other Uk Lymies.

Have you seen a Lyme specialist?

Yes, all of what you describe is possible. The system is impacted in almost every way with LD. You definitely need longer treatment, testing for coinfections, treatment for coinfections, and a good Lyme doctor. Good luck!

It can be a bunch of things, including Lyme. The white tongue sounds like yeast(Candida)
If I were you I would get a full evaluation done by a LLMD, you may have to come to the USA, and soon. get tested for co-infections, Babesia, Ehrlichia, bartonella etc. Read up on the Treatment guidelines in the meantime, if you would like assistance in finding a doctor email me [email protected] thank you and good luck!

I get lots of stomach problems!! I have gastritis. I hurt like hell and I definately feel like I am in a living hell myself!!

The GI dr's say it has to be from the Lyme. I think its from the prilosec they have me on. I wish I knew someting that would make it better but I haven't found anything and believe me, I have been trying everything!!
