Do any of you ladies out there experience menstrual problems?

I have terribly painful cramps, and I have been told it could be due to lyme.

Do any of you have similar problems, and what do you do for them?

It really messes up the endocrine system. Many get relief with bio-identical hormone creams.

I always did before my hysterectomy and before I ever knew I had lyme disease.

I could count on being off work 1-2 days a month for this. I'd have the continuous vomiting and couldn't keep food down too. Sure was glad to get rid of this when I had my surgery.

I don't really have any advice for you but I can tell you you aren't alone in having this problem.

My Lyme symptoms get worse and my PMS/TOM symptoms have been so much worse over the last 5 years that I have had Lyme symptoms. This last month was the first in years that I wasn't in bed for a few days.

I don't know if it was better because of the 4 months of Lyme treatment or because I finally started treating the Babs or if the moons were aligned right [Smile]

I try all kinds of things from tension tamer tea, to hot packs, to back rubs from my DH, but my period has been the worst with Lyme.

I have also had off cycle spotting and cramping and other female issues but the GYN said it was just caused by scar tissue from my c-section. I think it is all the Lyme.

I think and hope it will get better with the Lyme and Babs treatment.

From the time I was young I had bad cramps with my cycle.

Years ago I told the gyn didnt want to deal with bad cramps anymore and she put me on the pill..

it worked for whatever reason they were much less.

Not on the pill for quite some time. The cramps are much less now.... perhaps because I am in treatment for lyme... Not sure.

Best wishes

I used to have horrible cramps before lyme, now i dont get any cramps at all.

its very strange. my flow i also very light.

before all of this i could have owned stock in those thermacare patches, it was the only thing that helped my cramps.

Thanks alot everyone!

I think my problems are due to lyme, plus i had to take a little break from abx, so i think the bacteria had an all-out attack.

Maybe it will be better once I get back on abx.

Thanks!

I have suffered from debilitating cramps since they started. Four months into babs treatment and my periods are significantly easier. This is both a surprising and most welcome result.

However, I have always been on a roughly 28 day cycle. Now my cycle is more like every 25 days. Llmd says its the mepron.
