well, everyone i ended up going to the er with severe stomach pain. it's still in the middle of my stomach and radiates left and right, going through to my back. and it burns too...

no vomiting, no fever, just extreme pain and worse after eating.

so i go to er it gets so bad. they treated me like crap. gave me a gi cocktail but at least they did blood work. said red blood cell was up, potassium was up 1 point, not much. amalyse and lipase are alal normal

this guy tells me that er is for life threatening and that i have ibs and go home and contact doctor. i mean talk about condescending. i mean i felt absolutely awful for going, worse than when i went in!!! blood pressure was up though, 174 over 130 and they just ignored that. heart rate was 97.

i have been on amoxy twice a day for about 3 weeks. she didn't give me anything else, nothing for yeast for anything.

so i'm still hurting and wondering if this is all lyme or could i have pancreatitis? this doc tells me pancreatitis is very rare....

boy, my stomach hurts.

has anybody had this severe stomach pain?

I had severe stomach pain ... I am not saying this is what is wrong with you but here is my experience...

I have gastroparesis which means my stomach digests real slow.

I take med for it. A gi dr diagnosed it through an endoscopy.

If they did bloodwork I think they should have been able to see if you have pancreatitis from that.

Best wishes [Smile]

That's a high blood pressure and heart rate. What a bad experience. It all depends on who you get. One of our support group members ended up in the ER with stomach pain too and she ended up in the hopital on a IV for awhile. She is better now.
If you still are having problems and you know you are in trouble go to a different ER. I took my grandmother to one ER and they said nothing was wrong and then I took her to another and they found 9 bones broken in her pelvis. Depends on who you get in this wonderful medical system.
I had a bad stomach episoide when I first got sick in 1989 and I found eating rice with cooked vegetables worked the best.

Im really sorry they treated you like that, that was completely uncalled for an if I were you I'd write a letter to the head of the hospital and explaine how you were treated and by whom. It's so called doctors like that, that make people afraid to go to the ER when something is really wrong for fear they will be mocked for worrying too much.
As for your stomach pain I can relate. I ended up in the ER 4 yrs ago by ambulance one morning with stomach pain that I thought was going to kill me dead..They did all kinds of tests said call a GI. I had severe heartburn with it..
Well I moved to SC and the stomach pain slacked off some. Finally in July of 05 I was having very severe trouble swallowing which I still am ( down to 90 pds) and I went in for an endoscope. Turns out I have a hiatal hernia and Gerd but I am also inflammed from my esophagus through my stomach and down into my small intestines. The GI doctor said to my husband "No wonder shes in so much pain she's inflammed all the way down" So if you have gastritis, the pain youre experiencing could be that and it can be THAT bad... The only way to know for sure though is through an endoscope. You should see a GI doctor as soon as you can..
Hope this helps..

I have been on Amoxy 3,000mg plus probenecid since jan. I noticed that right before a herx I sometimes get this "rock" in my stomach feeling. It hurts. And then I get this belly button pain...it feels like blockage right at my belly button. It hurts to press it in there.

here is a thread I started about this:
http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=041572#000000

I have never found any reason for this. Or any way to make it better but time.

I am sorry for your experience at the ER---I hate that place. It was your right and a good decision for you to go when you felt so badly...not to mention that your BP was very high!

Are you taking a good probiotic?

I hope you find relief some how.

Sorry to read about your ER episode, and mistreatment.

Yes, write the CEO of hospital with all the details. My recent short story for brain MRI they didn't send me their normal patient survey, I called for it Friday and attaching a 2 page BAD experience letter I wrote to others about it.

Yes, your BP should have been attended to as well.
Hope you get to feeling better soon.
