I do not want to bother my lyme specialist about this just yet.

This is not a symptom that is typical for me at all.

My neck hurts, not of the arthritis kind.

And my neck lymph nodes are throbbing. (with a little sore throat when swallow)

Main thing is the throbbing lymph nodes.

Does this indicate something?

Is there something I can do for this??

(just add it to one of my many other symptoms for today!)

May be of significance taht I stopped abx for a break from them, it has been about 3 days without them.

Thanks!

Early on in my treatment I had sore lymph nodes and a sore throat for about a month. It was scarey. It was lyme. Treatment made it go away. I don't know aboutit coming out because you took a break from antibiotics, though. It seems a 3 day absence wouldn't be long enough to start up a new problem.

Hi. Thanks for replying.

I have been using a wormwood concoction for the three days since I stopped abx. and have taken careful notes. My ovaries were in terrible pain today as well. Maybe I am herxing from the wormwood.

It is amazing actually, I am paying very close attention so as not to go into a relapse into where I was before, as I have a pretty bad case of this dreaded thing.

In the last couple days I have alraedy had a narcoleptic episode then waking in terror not knowing where I am in time. Plus significant vertigo today. Both of these things had subsided. Plus my disorganization and OCD was higher than it has been. But I am watching closely and think it is wormwood herx.

I guess right now it is hard to tell if it is herx from wormwood...or needing continued abx...but I am trying to see if my body can do a little fighting on its own here since the abx are really making my intestines quite angry! Plus the yeast.

Red Root tincture was the answer for my swollen lymph nodes. Especially good when taking Artemesia, which might be wormwood, though you'd have to look that one up.

It helps the whole lymph system function more effectively and I've found it to be the best thing for my swollen nodes.

Painted T:

Are these your cervical Lymph nodes?
These nodes are located about half way down your neck, on the side, under the muscle that runs from behind your ear down to the collar bone.

If they're swollen (and throbbing) it means something is most definitely goin on with your immune system.

The lymph nodes have a constant migration of B cells and T cells go through them. Lymph nodes are often swollen when the body is fighting an infection (or mounting the response to fight)because blood is going through at a higher volumne- and there's alot more activity going on inside the gland.

Don't ignore this.
If you're sure it's the Samento doing it - stop the samento untill the glands go down, then resume it. (AT this point I should mention that even if this is a herx- you should still stop what ever is causing it till the glands go down).

Thanks all --

I am debating whether I should schedule appt. with
GP for this.

I think it is submandibular lymph nodes and/or tonsil ones that are throbbing. But the hardness of my neck goes down both sides which would be cervical, but not swollen there, just hardened.

May be a reaction to stopping abx for a bit.

Def. going to look into red root.

I learned somewhere a good way to clean lymphatic system is by jumping on a mini trampoline, sine the network is upside down.

That will work when I don't have the shooting pains in feet.

Will check into red root.

I don't think it's mumps but that is excellent point, not everything is always lyme!

I got swollen neck, jaw and arm lymph nodes after starting abx, along with a low grade fever. Red root helped; there is also a homeopathic by Heel called Lymphomyosot.

What helped most of all however, was lymph drainage massage by a trained therapist, and bouncing for 5 minutes a few times a day on a chiropractic ball. You could even jump up and down on the floor. As long as you get the "rebound" effect it helps move lymph.

Range of motion exercises with the arms help too, since many lymph nodes to which the neck/jaw area drains are in the region of the clavicle and arm. Motion of the muscles causes the lymph vessels to do their thing.

Hope you feel better soon!
