The palpitations I am experiencing happen with increased activity, especially when going up the stairs. I am on my third week of Doxy. Will this go away?

Pretty common symptom, eventually the abx should clear it up. May want to check for babesia as well, as it's notorious for causing palpitations.

Just wanted to say that early on palpitations and tachycardia were very common symptoms for me. Often times I would have irregular beats as well. Over time this has decreased for me as a result of antibiotics. It has recently reared its ugly head again because I started Babs treatment.
The spirochetes really like the heart, so it can become inflamed and infected. My palps were combined with chest pain, so my lyme doc did ask me to go through the routine cardiac tests to rule out heart problems even though he thought it was the Lyme.
I had a heart ultrasound and an ECG and Holter monitor but they were basically normal. The cardiologist I went to didn't have a clue about Lyme causing carditis so he wasn't any help.
If you haven't already had them, you may want to get an ECG and ultrasound just to make sure everything is ok. But just have peace of mind that this is a very common Lyme symptom.
I take magnesium and will occassionaly drink a gatoraide or lemonade drink that has potassium and sodium to make sure that it's not my electrolytes. Electrolyte problems can cause palps sometimes.

Early on even the slightest startle like the telephone ringing unexpectedly would make me have palpitations. And I noticed them like you said, when going up stairs, or if I got emotionally upset.
Hang in there! Do you have a Lyme knowledgeable physician that is experienced in treatment of Lyme disease?

Lola, 25+ years before I knew I had lyme but was very ill, palpitations were a problem for me. Some abx, stress, overdoing it, etc. causes it to be worse. I take 10-20 mg. Nadolol depending on what I think I need at bedtime. Have taken this for over 27 years. It is a blood pressure med, and I usually have low blood pressure. I rarely take more than 20 mg. This has worked very well for me.
Two different llmd's know I take this and have said nothing about it, so I guess it's still OK.

Have already had an ultrasound of my heart which was normal, EKG was abnormal, but my palpitations have improved since then. I am taking magnesium but am considering adding Co Q10 if they don't get any better.

I just feel my heart beating most of the time if not all the time. Is this palpitation?
I did have a few episodes of irregulat heartbeat when I was on some abx or was under stress.
