So my husband had an idea.

What if instead of a MS walk (lyme walk) to raise money.

We gathered groups in our areas for a Lyme Hike through the woods...that's right...all participants would wear white clothing from head to toe.

The group would hike through well loved trails in you area, at the end of the hike, tick collections would capture ticks that would be sent for study of infections.

We could ask for money to sponsor hickers based on the number of ticks pulled off each person or the miles hiked!

Then get local new coverage to follow your group and see the results of tick gut contents!!

What do you think! [hi]

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Who will pay for the white clothing for everyone, if they do not have enough?

How do you get people to walk through the woods who are now frightened to do so?

Who would pay for people to collect the ticks, or, how do you get people to do it on thier own after hearing all our horror stories?

Who will pay for the shipping, transporting the ticks to a lab? Other insects spread Lyme as well, how will we know which ones to capture?

It would be more like the miles hiked I think!

How do you get the media to (bite) so to speak?

And.............Most importantly.........I think you may get your *** reemed because I do NOT see a (Medical Question) here! hehehe!

Well Rob-
You are feeling well today!

Of course we would get the unsuspecting( or maybe camp A doctors) to walk in the woods and collect ticks.

Doesn't everyone have white clothes?

I think the press would be all over an event like this.

Ohhhh MY ! [Eek!]

An idea it surely is. Thank your hubby for that. As for the woods......not a chance here.

Personally think it would be more effective to be out in public walking, where we all could be seen and make it more of an Awareness walk.
