I just received what's supposed to be PC Noni from Biopure.
I think it's forbidden to enter Europe, so the box says something else, completely different, so that it could be imported to Germany.
Does it looks like something oily, yellowish? Just to be sure I'm not taking something else...
Do I have to keep it refrigerated?
Do I have to shake it so that the oily/ heavier parts get mixed with the more liquid parts?
Thanks for any info,
Selma

Many things are forbidden to enter Europe (EU countries). I got a whole pack of herbs I usually take stuck in the Belgium customs a few weeks ago.
I usually buy these through Switzerland (not too restrictive for importation), but wanted to have them shipped to Belgium while I was spending 'vacations' there. Wrong thing to do.
Many Chinese herbs, red root, andrographis, and many of Buhner's herbs are a NO to importation laws of many European countries. Even teasel or Artemisia annua. Import laws vary from country to country in the EU, as far as I understood.
I suppose I couldn't then import Artemisinin either (if Artemisia is forbidden...).
So I'm not implying Noni or Noni extract or PC-Noni are dangerous stuff to take. I just think that such awful restrictive laws of importation of herbs and health products in Europe make us, people that are sick, stuck to the traditional medicine world, to traditional medical products and lobbies.
And I'm glad I could buy this product here in Germany, pay less shipping fees too. And that the product is available to the German people too.
But considering that human error can exist, and that someone could just make a mistake of sending me the wrong product, I am just asking here what does PC-Noni look like?

How did you order the PC-Noni, by phone, web? I would contact Biopure and ask them if you got the right stuff. They ought to be able to describe and confirm that the product you got is the correct one.

I contacted them, they said they sent it to the place where I bought it, shipment schedule coincided. So I'm almost sure it's the same thing.
But I suppose there are other products being sent the same way (different labels). So just wanted to double check.
If I get no response here, I'll re-check with the naturopath next week. Thanks

Hi Selma
Since mine is in a dark amber bottle, it's hard to get a good sense of its color and consistency, but in the dropper, the liquid doesnt look too oily and is light brown with tiny specks (but that is after haven been shaken a lot) and it smells strongly of alcohol.
My bottle is 1oz (30mL), consisting of Noni extract, mineral water, and 20-25% ethanol.
On the label it says to store at room temp and to shake well before use
I'm assuming your dr gave you instructions on how to take it, but the suggested use on the bottle is:
1-5 drops in an empty glass, then add 4oz pure water & wait one minute before drinking. Drink 3X/day on empty stomach OR as directed by your physician.
I hope that helps Posts: 1563 | From MA | Registered: Jan 2003
