Ok,

Im really agrivated. The stupid duck strikes again.

I had yeast earlier in the month they give me 14 days of Vfend. Then they do another culture,

meanwhile a week and 2 days go by while im not on any antifungal, but was given cipro for a potential uti that wasnt. Rahhhrgh

Why wouldnt they just keep me on the antifungal longer?? On all the printouts i have seen it says to take for as long as you have the infection.

Yesterday i find out positive for yeast still!!

Today i was given 14 days of another antifungal and the same BS will happen next month.

I cant take it any longer.

All my symptoms are back...and im very annoyed!!!

Im pretty certain now that it is the yeast affecting my bladder.

i went to whole foods and bought PB8 probiotic, oregano oil,and another probiotic recomended on this site. So i am now taking 5 different probiotics thruout the day.

does anyone know logically why they would not atleast let me stay on the antifungal until the culture comes back?

Are you on an anti-yeast diet? That lessens the need for anti-fungals.

Also, cranberry is frequently helpful in urinary tract infections.

Some doctors are very concerned about liver damage. Maybe thats why they didnt want to keep you on it? My family doctor wouldnt give me a script for nizoral. I went to my lyme doc and he put me on it.

My insurance company will only cover so many diflucan pills a month/year. I remember how hard it was to get them to pay for the Vfend, which didnt work for me either.

I know how frustrating it is. I have been dealing with the same problems as you for the last two years.

Hang in there girl,

Jordan

What is IC?

Cranberry comes in pills, presumably without sugar, in addition to the sauce and juice.

IC is Interstitial Cystitis... bleeding bladder or painful bladder. it can be caused by lyme disease.

If you think the anti yeast diet is bad try avoiding foods that BURN your bladder. Cranberry is called the acid bomb for IC sufferes....any form is bad.

i cant take vitamin C or any multivitamin....bad stuff.

Hi Can't,
Don't no what to say but I am sending prayer for your healing tonight. Maybe you could call the drs office tomorrow and confirm the reason why he didn't continue you on an antifungal.

You have a right to understand the drs decisions.

Can you take D-mannose for the possible UTI's in the future? It is supposed to be a form of sugar which acts similarly to the cranberry, but perhaps even stronger. Don't know how it might affect the other condition. Blessings to you. Jen902
