which magnesium is best for how fast acting it is? a doctor i would see told me i could buy a fast-acting type of magnesium from his office to start off with, but for some reason i keep forgetting, and i don't go down in the part of town, and couldn't understand the word for it the secretary was saying on the phone (just that they were in vials?).
if i wanted to see if magnesium supplementation would be of particular help to me, which would be the most fast-acting and effective type?

Soak your feet or take a bath in epsom salts (magnesium sulfate). The body only absorbs as much as is needed -- won't give you diarrhea like oral supplements.
Start slow as the sulphur can cause a detox reaction.
Can do this any time of the day, but if done before bed should help you relax and sleep better.
Start with 1/2 cup and work up to 2 or 3 cups. Warm water in the bucket or tub, but again can increase water temp as get used to doing this. 5 minutes up to 20 or 30 minutes is usual time.
May make you feel weak or lightheaded if you are extremely deficient in magnesium or stay in a really hot tub too long.
Should help with fine tremors and muscle cramps or spasms.
Will have to experiment with oral supplements -- hubby does best on magnesium citrate, but other absorb other forms better.
This is not medical advice, but just my opinion.

my major problems i wonder if are magnesium related are fatigue, no concentration or willpower, violent anger, a feeling of tremor under and in my skin (no noticable tremor), twitches, stiffness and jagged uncoordinated movement, strange resting and expressive faces (like some old people have), grimacing and daytime bruxism. this may all seem far-fetched, do these things help with that?

I would think injections of magnesium sulfate or IV would be the fastest acting as opposed to the oral form. This is the best oral form http://www.niche-inc.com/niche/magtab.html

Citrates INactivate PFK...the rate limiting enzyme for glycolysis.
Bb is "PFK dependent"
NOW makes a 200mg tablet or you can get liquid lemon-lime flavored Mg citrate at all pharmacies.
It might be a good idea to take Mg with a B complex at the same time.
An entire bottle is taken as a prep before a lower bowel x-ray to clean out the bowels.
Too much for you. 1 ml = 52mg.
If trying the baths, add some baking soda to the water too. Makes a huge difference.
