Are there any significant studies out there? Any links? I'd just like to have something that says dog ticks, wood ticks and various other ticks can and do transmit Lyme.

Hello, MVilas!
So glad things are under control. Good for you for standing up for your daughter!
Now, you'll hear your share of "those ticks don't carry Lyme." Blah blah blah.
Here's a good collection from a smart researcher.
Go there. Click on each type of tick and you'll be taken to research articles documenting the presence of borrelia or other tickborne diseases or what the possibility is in that particular tick species.
There is SO MUCH we do not know.
It's kind of like the "tick testing" thing.
If people were spending as much on Lyme -- even a teensy fraction as much -- as on other diseases, we'd know much more.
Till we do, take no chances. Any attached tick is an evil creature.
