I started the generic Greenstone zithromax and I'm

not getting the same reaction I get from regular

zithromax. I usually herx with spaceyness and

tingling in my arms. I feel none of this with the

generic. Is it less powerful or where those

side-effects?

I noticed the same thing. I paid the extra money the next time, and it worked. I noticed the same problem with generic Biaxin also. It doesn't make any sense because the active ingredients have to be the same.

I'm taking azithromycin 500 mg. 1x/day since December. I've never tried the Zithromax, so cannot compare.

It definately caused me to herx in a big way, so, I'm thinking that it's working for me.

I was also re-tested after 3 months, with Igenex again. The re-test showed overall increase in the ++'s which is common after starting ABX.

I'm also on a load of other stuff, cumanda, burbur, samento, artemisinin, lumbrokinase, and nystatin and probiotics...any and all of which can cause herxing as well.

Overall, I feel worse since I started treatment. In the last 2-3 weeks, however, I've had quite a few days where I've felt improvements for several hours out of the day, such as much more cheerful, more energy, better cognitive function.

I think this indicates something good is happening! I'd have to say the generic zith is doing something, along with the rest of the protocol.

There SHOULD be no difference in the active ingrediant. The bnders and fillers might be diferent though. I have not seen any different waht so ever.

Why don't you try a blind test. Pack the pills in aluminum foil, one dose per pack, generic and name brand. Try each for couple of weeks but close you eyes went you open the pack/take them.

On the last dose look which ines you have been taking all along to see if you are just experienceing normal fluctuations in symtoms or if it a real effect.

this is the only way to tell for sure.

I was told that generics are allowed to be 20% less or more effective.

I don't know how true this is .... but this is what I was told.

Best wishes
