it seems that everything i eat causes me to bloat up. Two weeks ago I stopped snacking, ate fruit for lunch, a vegan protein bar for lunch and dinner..I was lighter than ever, no bloating, no clothes were very loose on me. This week I have been eating a bit more, but not pigging out and I have gained so much "weight."
My jeans that fell off of me last wednesday are skin tight. It is baffling. One week did this? I feel like I have gained 10 lbs, but i am sure I am retaining water or something... does anyone else have this problem? Is this a lyme symptom? It is terrible.

I had that exact problem before I realized I was allergic to wheat.
I would not only feel as if I've gained 10 pounds; I would literally gain 10 pounds within a week's time.

Another suggestion: Dad always had this happen to him, and he'd collect fluid on his lungs and around the heart in a few days gain 10-20 lbs!
He'd be admitted to hospital to take it off by IVs. He had many illnesses including congestive heart failure.
Now, I'm sure he had chronic lyme since age 7 or earlier; lived with it 80 years until his death!
Good luck finding out what is causing your swelling. I too have swelling I did not know anything about in my hands at knuckle area. LLMD said I had it in my ankles but I don't feel it, and we had NO TIME TO CHIT CHAT. I had a very thorough, 3 hr. extensive physical/exam.
