Well for the last time, i will try to post a question about this mysterious rash i seem to have.

started in jan, about the size of quarter, red, itchy, by feb, grew into a circle like ringworm and cleared in the middle, no bullseye look though like my original bullseye rash.

used 3 tubes of antifungal, lamisil, etc. no help, in fact the rash spread both sides of the groin, and lower stomach and pubic area, starts out as little reddish pink spot, grows outward to produce red ring that clears in center.

some of them grow together to become one big ring.
I have had lyme since june 05 seeing really good llmd, DR P and have been on all kinds of meds, still treating now.

i saw him a couple of months ago and he thought mabye ringworm or secondary lyme rash? he put me on difflucan 200 mgs a day for a month which i just finished.

the rash it self had somewhat faded, it seems to wax and wane, it will appear to be fading like it is disapearing and then come back, nothing as bad as it was a couple of months ago but its still there, no more spreading, and no more new ones, just the ones i have are gradually growing like rings.

I have been tested for all co infects three times by doc and he says they dont look like anything he has seen before, he doesnt think i have any noticable symptoms of co.

so whats up, i will ask the question one last time, am i the only one with this, i sure feel like it.

what do you think??????

Here is the page of rash pics from the Canadian Lyme Foundation.
I found my rash here, 17 years after I had it.

What you describe is a rash very similar to the one my son gets. His comes and goes with flares. Always on his left thigh area.

He is congenital in his his lyme.

Anyone dealing with this crazy illness can get various rashes anywhere on their body. I don't ever recall a rash, but I did have some small "bumps" that itched like mad behind my left kneee a few years ago. It was so annoying!!!

Sounds like your rash is related to Lyme. BTW, have you moved to CO yet? Feel free to PM me with an update!!

I have gotten a mysterious rash every time I get a sinus infection or sore throat for the past 15 years. In fact, I have gotten it when I rode my mountain bike for a long trip once, too. Weird.

My doc doesn't know what to think of it. It appears almost like a sunburn over my face, chest, neck and upper stomach. Docs have called it strep rash and a few have said it looks like it is caused by something bacterial.

The mystery is still unsolved. In fact, I just got the rash again three days ago when a sore throat came on.

Does Lyme cause these weird rashes of unknown origin???

Sounds really similar to what I have on both forearms.

Mines definitely happening UNDER the skin though.
It's not itchy.

If you find ANYTHING that makes it better let me know.

I'm actually out of ideas... and just sort of watching it.
