i've been reading a lot about using oil of oregano to fight yeast. can you take the oil of oregano while you are taking antibiotics? i'm nervous about adding this to my med. regime as my LLMD has plead ignorance about the oil.
does anyone have some good advice about this?

I am on antibiotics and am taking oil of oregano. I wonder if a pharmacist would know if it is okay. Hiker

My LLMD recommended it quite awhile ago and I was on it for a couple of months. I'm not on it now because I had to go off a lot of things, but I do plan to ask him about it versus olive leaf extract (which he had recommended at a later date) because I'm dealing with the yeast thing too.
I won't be seeing him for a couple of weeks. I think it's important to ask about herbs and supplements with each new antibiotic because the interactions can be different.

I take both Oregano Leaf powder and Olive leaf powder, that I encapsulate myself from bulk herbs, and I have NO problems, and take a LOT of other herbs also. About 80+ pills a day.
I took it along with abx also. The abx were really bad on my stomach though so quit them back in February. I only take herbs now plus vitamin C and E. The C is in the form of C-salts from nutri.com.
I would be much more leary of taking abx than NATURAL herbs. Our bodies are designed to ingest NATURAL food stuffs. NOT chemicals designed by man.
Your choice, of course, but MY choice is the herbs, to be sure. AND I feel SOOOOOOO much better than when I was on ABX.
