Anyone else notice that lymes is attacking only one side of their body? Headaches on the left side of my forehead... pain on the on my left side, and upper left back, and left knee. Blurry vision out of both eyes, but pain behind my left eye. Even stranger is that my right foot and right hand are dramatically colder then my left side... not neuropathy, it is actually a few degrees cooler on most days.

Thanks everyone.

Hubby must be the odd one out. His tremors/myoclonus are worst in the left arm and right leg -- totally confuses neurologists.

Otherwise symptoms primarily worse on the left -- Bell's Palsy on left side of face and claw hand when present generally more on left side.

My symptoms are almost completely symmetrical. It's one of the reasons my LLMD wasn't sure at first that it was Lyme.

It was Lyme and coinfections. He said it never fails to amaze him how differently these diseases manifest in different people.

I have predominantly right-sided muscle weakness, fatigue, and pain in my right arm and leg. Also, pain only on the right middle and lower back.

My right thigh goes numb when I exercise.

My twitching and myoclonic jerking is pretty much all over equally.

The neuros are stumped!

I'm mostly left-sided. Headaches all over. Interestingly enough, the pain in my neck has moved to the right side since beginning chiro treatments. Sometimes it switches back to the left. My chiro says that it is a good thing that it moves back and forth as it means it is not embedded so deeply.

Initially, all of my symptoms were right-sided:

-- numbness and sharp pain in my right foot
-- arthritis and severe swelling of right knee
-- headaches on right side
-- some numbness in my right arm

Since starting abx in June, things haven't been quite so unilateral, but they definitely were in the beginning.

It is odd. My neuropathy symptoms started out on the right and tend to be stronger on the right but do come and go on the left. The tremors are worse on the left.

The arthritis was worse on the left. Hip, hand, and knee- all worse on the left.

This is why the Non-LLMDs look at me like I am crazy when I describe my smptoms.

My symptoms all cam on the left side.

Left neck, arm, shoulder, jaw weakness.
I get twitches everywhere and i get myoclonus jerks everywhere also.

Seems to me Lyme is a one sided illness at first anyway and then goes from there. Thats why Neuro's have no clue. They dont know how to treat something they know nothing about.

Maybe its just me but if i was a neurologist i would want to learn about everything possible that could go wrong in a neurological sense with a human being.

My mind would be completely open to new ideas and sicknesses that cound eventually turn into break throughs in treatment even if it only helped my patients.

I just dont undertsand the ignorance and ego that block true learning from happening. They say it can't be Lyme causing all of these problems when really they should be saying why can't it be?

Bacteria/Virus that can not be ditected by our immune system or hides in cells from our immune system will eventually kill us with not much notice until it presents itself as an uncurable disease due to the body not knowing of this disease progression.

Stealth Bacteria and Virus's are probably the leading cause for every uncurable disease on the market. Until we decide to check for more of these infections we will continue to have uncuable disease such as MS, ALS, Alzheimers, Parkinsons etc....

Until we develop a way of testing for all infectious diseases with one or two blood draws we will never conquer the beast. Hopefully I will be living proof of turning around these symptoms to a healthy guy again. Wish me luck.

Right side. Headaches behind right eye, blurry vision, ear stuffiness, hip pain, muscle tightness more on right, less flexibility in the neck and back, and in the leg, mostly from the lower leg to the foot.

I had Bell's Palsy on the left, Jaw pain on the left, tingling and bug crawling on my left shoulder and left back.

On the right side I had rib pain, knee pain & hand pain.

My right hand and arm are freezing today, the left side is warm!

The good news is you're not alone and not crazy.

Neuropathy on left side, inflammation on right side for the most part.
