Hi Bothrops,

I posted some pics over there, too! Are yours the photos of the desert?

Don't worry too much about not having an expensive camera. The pics I took of Paris were taken on an ordinary "point and shoot" automatic camera as well as a few disposable cameras.

I agree, there's not much action over there. It's probably because it takes a lot of concentration and energy to post artwork and Lyme Disease quickly squelches both.

I know this from my own personal experience working with photoshop. It fried my brain!

I just told people on another lyme board about the yahoo group. So hopefully we can have a whole community of artists over there one of these days.

My pics are in the Sandhills folder. Just some critters. Whenever I go to see Dr.J I stop by the Sandhills NWR to see what I can see. Real special place.

I am a member. [Smile]

I posted a few poems...

I am only_ashes there but I posted my poems under both only ashes and azure wish.

tried to take some pics of my work with a reg camera but that didnt work so waiting until mom gets a new ditital camera.... hers broke.

I did see your pics. I like them. You must have spent alot of time looking for your subjects.
They are of the moment pictures. A perfect moment frozen in time. You must have fast reflexes to capture the animals before they run or fly away.

I love the animal ones the best. I love spiders but probaly would have been a little nervous about getting that close to a jumping spider.... unless you had a zoom lens.

Best wishes [Smile]

Hey Azure,
thank you. I like spiders too. That was the first time I had ever seen a jumping spider like that. It was a whoping 2" big, enormous for a jumping spider. I did have to get close with the macro setting.

The thing with animals is they dont stick around for a photo shoot. Just prior to the spider I had caught a black racer and put it in a pillow case to calm it down. It did not work, I even put my hand over her and held her down. I got two pictures of her tail!

I think this site is a great idea. It is so nice to not think about illness for a while. I hope more people will participate.

Bothrop,

You stated you are a newbie here, and I want to point out as nicely as I can.

[Wink] Medical is for MEDICAL QUESTIONS only ok. We've had a terrible time in the past, and finally got it working like it should.

Please copy/paste your entire post to GENERAL discussion of lyme disease or OFF TOPIC.

If anything remains on the medical board, please just use DELETE feature above the name of your post, and it will delete everything ok.

Glad you found us.

bettyg,
I am not a newbie here. I come here to talk from time to time with people. I normally leave soon after dealing with the rude.

Sorry to post something off topic.

I dont think people disappear from lymenet because they have gotten better and moved on. I think they get tired of talking about this crap!

Betty, keep in mind that sometimes people are not feeling well and they inadvertantly make mistakes. I know you were not trying to be rude, but as long as it's just here and there, unless it happens alot, maybe you could just let it slide and chalk it up to "brain fog" or a simple mistake.

Anyway, I am very interested in this lymeartist website, but I can't seem to get on. I keep getting an error. Could you repost the address again, or maybe a keyword I could use to search in google with. I tried "lymeartist" but did not find it.

Bothrops,

There is a huge conversation on General Support under "Any artists with Lyme".

That's probably where the folks are that you are looking for.

I don't think Betty was being rude but trying to add some order to chaos.
