~My neck bends like a PEZ dispenser...this is the 4th time--I can't straighten it, just go to bed.
Doc P.said Lyme is in my neck according to MRI. i'm going back on Tini & will continue MRI's until normal.
My ? is: Is anyone also taking Low-Dose Naltrexone off of the Canadian Lyme site? I have the script (3mg) from my PCP. It's VERY successful, but I'm scared!
I see my Alternative Doc next week & Dr.P next month. I'm going to talk to him about it, but I'd LOVE some personal feedback!
THANK-YOU SO MUCH`Reno

hi Reno,
May I suggest you change the topic title to, "Low-Dose Naltrexone"?
use the pencil icon to EDIT your post. Now you will get people responding since the board is SO BUSY and folks don't have time to read each one ok.

I took LDN pre lyme diagnose. Even went to foounder doctor in NYC for 2 years. Got more worse after first yearwith what turned out to be lyme symptoms, swelling, pain etc.
Apparently the LDN helped my body recognize the spirochetes and begin fighting it.
I haven't taken LDN after starting lyme treatment. I felt worse within a couple hours of taking it, nausea, faint, heart palps.
May have been herx but found I do better at this time not taking it. Will try it again (still have some.

I'm sorry everyone has had very negative experiences with LDN! That's exactly why I posted as I did...to bring out the FEW who have DEMYELINATION CAUSED BY CHRONIC LYME DISEASE...T-H-A-T (alone) it's been very successful in treating!
LYME DISEASE & LDN is a NO-NO, both in studies & the replies gotten on the board!
It's FDA-approved for Alcoholism & Narcotic Addiction. Betty, That explains my choice of wording...noone needs to mess with this!!
