hi all,

i just had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled out, and the jaw bone under them cleaned out.

apparently there was lots of infection... the surgeon said he had to scrape out an area the size of the last joint of his thumb in the lower teeth in order to hit healthy living bone. he said it was a 'creme brulee' kind of texture, which makes me sick to think about... but at least it's gone.

as some of you know, over the years i been found to be infected with babesia, lyme, bartonella, & m. fermentans, plus other lovely creatures, i'm sure. i've been treated for all these infections through various antibiotics, homepathics, anti-parasitics, etc, but they persist. dealing with the teeth was the next step, according to my doc. although i am at this point pretty asymptomatic, i still have a strange and potentially dangerous heart issue, where with any exercise it speeds up too fast immediately (i.e. into the 200+ bpm range).

anyway, the thought was that the jaw infection (which was totally pain-free by the way, i had no idea it was there), sitting so close to the vagus nerve etc might be part of this heart issue, and also may be why i have been unable to clear the babesia and other infections with all this treatment.

the surgeon decided he would do all 4 wisdom teeth at once (even though it's hard on the body, we didn't want me to be anesthetized more than once). which means i don't have a 'good' side to chew on, the way you would if you did one side and then the other side later.

and so as of yesterday i can only drink juices or other liquid-y foods for about a month to six weeks, and then not chew anything tough for 4 to 5 months, while the jaw bone regenerates. i have a lot of food allergies and hypoglycemia, which i manage pretty easily by eating lots of fresh and cooked veggies, lots of healthy meats, lots of goat yogurt, eggs, etc, but lots of almost no grains or fruit. i am quite allergic to soy, dairy, garlic, most beans, and almost all grains.

but here's my question: this seems like it could be a great opportunity to do some kind of cleanse, but i also think that post-surgery i need to be getting a lot of protein to rebuild and recover. most cleanses i amm familiar with are more geared to juices, and tend to be lower protein than might be right at this time....

most things the sugeon suggested to eat, i can't (i.e. oatmeal, milkshakes, tofu, soy drinks, etc). have any of you done any kind of high-protein, low carb liquid (or mushy) food cleanse?? did you do things that were not soy, grains, dairy, etc?

i figure i could do blended veggie/meat stock soups, and blended goats yogurt with a little fruit, but other than that i'm not sure. the protein powders i have looked at all seem to have soy or rice etc. i did find a goat whey one, which i bought, but it was $50 for just 9 servings. so once i finish that i don't think i'll be getting any more if there are other options. anyone who's gone through this teeth thing or knows a lot about cleanses have any ideas for me?

(other than diet, i am doing lots of chlorella, DMPS injection every 2 weeks, and several other herbs, supplements and homepathics. the surgeon also has me on 10 days of cipro, so i'm going to add extra probiotics...)

am also wondering if since i won't be eating my daily salads, if i should add a fiber (i.e. fibercleanse or similar) or if that might be a bad thing to get caught in the cavitation sites...

thanks much for any ideas, and best wishes to all,
flossie
