I was about to order the PC-Samento drops that so many recommend from BiopureUS, but saw that the tincture contains 20% alcohol.
I have to watch my sensitive liver. Samento itself is not easy on the liver - inhibiting the P450 pathway. And alcohol, of course, is bad for the liver, and can never be combined with flagyl or tinnidazole, so this does not seem good.
Where can I get good quality Samento drops that do not contain alcohol?
you asked about samento tincture, so I will not push you to consider taking (ethanol-free) cat's claw whole herb.
But I imagine it might be difficult to get cat's claw tincture without alcohol.
A solution could be to put the drops (when using) into a cup of almost boiling water. Most of the alcohol should evaporate, the cat's claw extract (which is said to remain stable even in a decoction) would remain in the hot water.

I cannot have alcohol either, and contacted the manufacturer of the tinctures I'm using (Burbur, Cumanda and Samento) at Nutramedix.
I asked about volatilizing the alcohol in hot water. They say it is possible to deplete the alcohol from the extract by using water that does not exceed 105 degrees F.
They said to mix the drops with warm water. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes and most of the alcohol will be depleted. As long as the water does not exceed 105 degrees F the action of the extract will not be affected.
Also, their liquid extracts are always diluted in water, and the dosage ranges from 1 drop to 25 drops. 25 drops mixed in 4 ounces of water has an alcohol content of less than one half of one percent. (They say that many ripe fruits contain far more alcohol than this.)
Still, I'm using these tinctures numerous times throughout the day, and just didn't want any alcohol at all.
I purchased a food thermometer that registers low enough to check the temp of the water so it's not too hot.

I find it hard to imagine that this should work.
105�F is about 40.5�C, isn't it? Little bit more than body temperature so. Boiling point of ethanol is @ about 78�C or 173�F.
Seems to be more a recipe for a warm quickly working alcoholic drink.
