Has anyone used these? I am taking these along with Garlic becuse of my remotely possible tick bite last week ....... I did not resume ABX .... been off about a month now.

These herbs are high quality and ony sold through practiioners. They include many of the herbs in Buhner's protocol.

I am feeling pretty bad so either I am herxing, regressing from being off ABX, or I have a new infection( which I think is mostly unlikely.)

For those who have done herbs ........... do you herx almost immediately after taking them?

Hi Robi,

Herbs act like antibiotics, and try and kill the pathogen. I am on some very strong herbs, and yes, I herxed pretty quickly, just like I did with the antibiotics.

Hang in there, most likely you are herxing.

I agree these are high quality, but I must disagree about the practioner part. I bought the Isatis 6 last week online. I'm keeping it on hand for viruses along with some other chinese herbal formulas.

Yes. I have seen them on line as well........ not in store however. They are a line sold "mostly" through
practitioners.

What site did you get them from? I have not seen them any cheaper than at my acupunturists' office.

Hi Robi,

It can take a while for the herbs to build up enough in the body to address Lyme. I don't know if you tapered off antibiotics or abruptly stopped. I think it is better to slowly taper off and allow time for the herbs to take effect before totally getting off of antibiotics.

Hubby has not taken these specific herbs, but based on his experiences with other herbs and antibiotics etc, I think you can herx on something as quickly as it is absorbed into your bloodstream.

He used to have consistent reactions to Transfer Factor -- increased tremors/myoclonus/seizure-like episodes within 30 minutes of every dose.

Same type reactions to just about every antibiotic -- oral or IV. Also oral colloidal silver for first month or two. Andrographis was the same way. Also, tried daily clove of garlic -- gave up within 1 or 2 weeks as reaction didn't seem to be decreasing.

Let's just say the IV Ativan gets a workout every time he tries something new!

Don't know if it is due to leaky gut, leaky blood-brain barrier or neurotoxins. Just wish it wasn't quite so severe.

He only reacts this way to things that are antibacterial etc. -- other nutritional supplements are usually not a problem.

Strangely enough he didn't have a reaction to Cat's Claw -- or at least it was much milder -- could be the cheap brand I am using though.

Robi,

I herxed within 3 days of diflucan and cats claw, sarsparilla. Herxed within 10 days of homeopathy. It is quite possible you are killing yeast as well and herxing from that die off. The leaky gut can be caused by the Lyme or yeast or heavy metals or all. Leaky gut then lets everything into your blood and I believe this is when killing it causes herxing.

Please don't push the herx too hard. Some people take their meds during the week and take a break on the weekend. I'm not having to do that now, but when the herxing was strong, that weekend break really helped.
