Hi -- I just got diagnosed with the B burgdorferi Lyme bacteria. I've been sick with Lyme for 24 years and didn't know it. I'm taking 150 mg clindamycin every 6 hours and my symptoms are going down! Pain and swelling down in ankle, pain all over my body going down, fatigue lessening, chemical sensitivity lessening. That part is great. The part that isn't so easy: I have a lipoma(fatty tissue tumor) near my knee and it's very painful. Does anyone else have a lipoma? Does anyone have any info on whether lipomas are connected with Lyme disease? If so, any responses to antibiotics? Thx -- Robin in San Francisco

I wanted to ask this questions since a long time. My hubby has Lyme. The only coinfection that tested positive is Chlamydia pneumoniae.

He has lots of lipoma but longtermn abx isn't reducing them. They are rather becoming more.

Somebody in another forum raised the suspicion of a connection with Bartonella.

I know somebody else with lots of Lipoma and a history of decades of panik attacks and depression.

I think there is a connection with an infection, but which one?

Sorry, I'm not of much help.

I have one mid-SPINE; doesn't hurt at all. Have no knowledge on it.

I did have the wrong spelling for it; ended up typing the CANCER lookalike name, and new LLMD correccted me on that.

Very interesting.

I also tested positive for chlamydia pneumonia. But I also have Bart, Babs, and Ehrlich. I wonder which one has caused my multiple lipomas.

After taking Amox and Ketek for about 6 months, the lipomas started becoming softer, smaller, and less painful. Some are totally gone.

My LLMD has recommended massaging the lipomas and swellings with a lubricating cream, in the direction of the heart. She says that the lymphatic system is not functioning properly.

I am seeing some results with the massage.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks! [Smile]
