I plan on getting a bit more active outdoors this summer. I am in a lyme endemic area (Boston) and I was wondering what do people use to repell ticks. I don't want to use DEET based substances. Is there anything else out there? Where can I buy it? Thank you!!!

Lemon eucalyptus essential oil is reportedly a tick repellent. I was told to mix with regular body lotion (I use Berts Bee) and apply all over body.
Essential oils are very potent, so I add about 10 drops to the lotion bottle and shake well. I found out about this after having another tick attack last May. Been using it since.
