I saw my MD this morning and all though he's not an LLMD he's very good and has started me on Diflucan liquid.. Says I'm too swish and swallow. I told him that I went to the may clinic site and it says that if you have yeast in your mouth then it's probably all the way down the digestive tract and that Yeast can cause trouble swallowing, food feeling like it's stuck in the throat and chest ALL of which I have had for 4 years now. My swallowing has gotten so bad I"m 87 pds.
SO I'm praying that by starting the Diflucan I can kill off some of this yeast and it will improve my swallowing maybe I could eat better.
For those of you who have had or do have a severe yeast problem Do I need to worry about any kind of overwhelming reaction when I first start taking the Diflucan from the die off? I've been on it before but I've also never had the yeast this bad .. Thanks for any help..

You can get some acidophilis capsuls that you can pull apart and swish them around and let them melt then swallow it really helped me one time when I had trouble on ceftin.

hi I have lyme ect...

I have had alot of problems in the past with thrush & upper GI yeast to. No fun at all.

Here are a few tips I have learned that have helped me.

1)disenfect all- toothbrushes & tongue scapers after every use( I have glass filled with alcohol that everytime I brush my teeth I turn upside down in the alchol for at least 2 minutes.
Rinse well.

2) A tongue scaper- You can get one at walmart or any local drug store. I use this everytime I brush my teeth.

3)listerine-swish before I brush my teeth.

4) open a cap of aphodophilis on my tongue every time I brush my teeth-specially if you use mouthwash. The liseterine /mouthwash/anyfloride toothpaste it kills the good as well as bad flora ,leaving behind an empty ground. Which yeast comes in and takes over.

5)tea tree oil: when I start to see a coating I use a drop and brush & swish it around and rinse alot.

Diflucan can make some people nauseated.

And I have noticed a yeast die off when it gets bad and I start on anti-fungals. This usually lasts only the first week.

And the last but most important is try hard to stick to a antiyeast diet.

good luck
dana

thanks for all your advice I can do all this but the BIG problem I have is the sugar. You see I've had trouble swallowing now for 4 yrs and everything I eat now has to be smooth and slide down that pretty much only leaves dairy which is loaded with sugars. I can not handle any solid foods at all at this point.. In the morning I eat some scrambled eggs but they are even douced in a white sauce to help them slide down. In the afternoons I mush up whatever it is I made for dinner and try and get that down. The rest of my time I eat ice cream and activia yogurt because it goes down well I can't even handle jello so I'm at a lost as to what to do about the sugar issue's. I don't really have much more I can cut out and at 87 pounds I'm kind of screwed here.. *sigh* thanks so much for all the advice I DO appreciate it.

Soups. Blended soups. You absolutely need to stop the sugar.

Also, soymilk(make sure it is unsweetened or use unsweetened soy yogurt) in blender. You can add cocoa powder and xylitol or stevia(natural nonsugar sweeteners) and a few ice cubes for a great shake.

potatoe leek soup is a good blended soup, and it has some calories. squash soups. Make your own, use your blender. Make lentil soup, then blend it.
Add lots of oil to them to start to get your weight up.

As you start to get better, add some almond butter into your smoothie for more calories.

Make cream of buckwheat cereal and add unsweetened soymilk to thin it after it is cooked, blend it if you have to. Pocono is the brand name of who makes cream of buckwheat cereal.

You are going to herx. Ask your friends family for help preparing this and sticking to it.

You will be able to swallow beter and better each day.

Make mashed potatoes with RED POTATOES, and lots of olive oil and unsweetened soy milk, make it real smooth at first.

Buy some coconut oil and eat it off the spoon, it is very smooth and has lots of calories and helps kill yeast.

NO MORE ICE CREAM. No more sweetened yogurt. sweeten your own with stevia or xylitol.

If you stick with the first week of no sugar, it does get better--Ive been there.

Thank you SO much for all these tips. I'm going to pring out this post.. I have to tell you I"m kind of scared as to whats going to happen to me with all this new stuff but I think I"m more scared of dying and if things keep going the way they are thats what is going to happen. I"m going to print this out and get started on it soon as I get my SSD check. Until then I can't afford to buy any of the ingrediants i need. Thank you again SO much (hugs)

I've been dealing with thrush also. Nothing seemed to work so I started chlorella for heavy metal detoxing and I've improved greatly.
Just a thought.
