Here is the site where you can sign Dr. J's petition. Though we are requested not to post Dr.'s names, to protect them, it is only common sense when a doc is publicly accused we must come together to support the doctors who risk their careers in trying to help us.
Whether or not a doctor, who is under attack, has been able to help you with his/her protocol should not be your deciding factor in whether you will support these doctors. Remember, if the national and state health agencies recognized the state of chronic Lyme, and researched to find treatment protocols/cure, then we would not have doctors searching through trial and error to treat this disease.
If a doctor of Dr. J's stature goes down then no doctor is safe. Future cases in other states will be affected by what happens to Dr. J.

FYI: Someone signed the petition with a negative. This person is number 6 from the bottom on the 1st page. Is there anyway to remove it from the petition?

The protection of doctors "requests not to post Dr.'s names" referes to Drs who are not public persons.

Wow Betty! 9000 members! I didn't know that! Surely we could at LEAST get 1000. Come on members! Are we going to wait to do something after the damage is done? We need to do something NOW! It takes less than 5 minutes to fill it out. To save you time, here's a direct link to the "Sign the Petition" page: Direct link to "Sign Petition" page

There are 60 people signed on to this board right now. If you already signed the petition, thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you haven't, I encourage you to do some research and PLEASE sign this petition. If I sound desperate, it's because I am. My mother's the patient and I want the very best for her, and the best for her right now is Dr. Jemsek.

Is there a way the moderator could PM all the members about this petition? Just a thought.

This is from the Nat.Cap.Lyme site: (http://www.natcaplyme.org/jemsek_appeal.htm)
"This hearing is critical and different from Dr. Z....'s in that it is past the investigation stage; the purpose is to decide whether his license should be revoked, terminating his ability to practice medicine. "
"He is only one of two Infectious Disease Physicians in the country who has taken the challenge of treating the chronic Lyme community outside the current IDSA guidelines."
Please note: the petition can be signed "Anonymous" if you do not wish to post your name.
Although they request address and email, the email was used to send an automated "thank you", and they state it will not be used for any other reasons.

Sole, there are 300 more signatures than when I signed yesterday! I saw 6-10 of lyme friends I sent the link to.
Sole, I thought the same thing of 1 of our LYMENET MODERATORS doing a 1-time blanket emailing like they did when they sent us each a private email asking for $$ funds to keep lymenet board going another year. So yes, it is possible.
We have just got to get to an active moderator. Send a PM to Jenifer; she answered me this weekend when she fixed a wide post.
LOU B, I noticed has removed his PM and home email addy for the time being since his father-in-law's death.
Jenifer said other moderator, Toby; she was really busy right now.

Come on members and guests! If a medical board can bring down Dr. Jemsek, then the others are doomed. We must prevent this from happening.
If you don't agree with how mainstream medicine treats Lyme disease, and you support the use of long term antibiotics until the medical community finds a better way, then you must get involved now.
If you don't, short term antibiotics for chronic sufferers will be the ONLY option available.
For you newbies in here, do yourself a favor and do some research. If by the end, you conclude that long term antibiotics has a place in the treatment of chronic Lyme and that the diagnosis of Lyme disease should not be primarily made from less than acceptable Lyme disease lab tests, but from a patient's clinical presentation and history, then please consider signing this petition.
It's not to say that these lab tests aren't useful. They can be valuable in supporting a diagnosis, but should not be used as the only or main tool for diagnosing Lyme disease.
