Just curious -- are you sure you were really bitten 30 times? Just one tick bite can cause multiple rashes.
Hubby did not have any rash so he didn't know he was bitten and it took him 1 1/2 years to get a diagnosis of Lyme and another year before the Babesia and Bartonella were diagnosed.
This is just my opinion, but I think those who have rashes have a stronger immune response and as a result can recover quicker if they are treated quickly and adequately.
Without knowing more about your symptoms I can't really say if you have Bartonella or not. There are some rash pictures -- hopefully someone else can post the link for you.

Hello, Oh yes,I was bitten at least 30 times.I have 30 scars.I plucked off so many ticks I quit counting.
The underbrush is really dense and woody. In a place where there are lots of tics you can get multiple tics crawling on you in a matter of minutes.
I do not lie, tell stories ect.... we went mushroom hunting 4 diffrent days.Plucked many ticks off before they became attached.I had two attached two my back, one lower back thigh and several on my head. The rest must have fed and dropped off.
I read where tics anestatise you before they put their little pronged hooked feeder like thing in to feed. That is why most people do not feel them unless they are crawling on them.
Most bites were on my ankles, about 10 on lower back, a few on my stomach. The spots left sores just like the ones that the tics you pull off leave.
I have went mushroom hunting before, had tics but they have really gotten worse the last ten years. Will not ever go again after getting lyme disease.

Dr. Martin Freid of NJ has documented many dermatalogical presentations of lyme and some co-infections. He has shown these as a slide show at some of the conferences. The bartonella rashes that he has photographed look like stretch marks, but they were on areas of the body where stretch marks do not typically occur. Some of them were in a striation type pattern. Hope this helps.

I wasn't questioning your honesty -- some people just assume that if they have multiple rashes it means multiple bites. That's all.
With that many bites it is pretty safe to assume that you do have coinfections -- but without a list of your symptoms I wouldn't be willing to guess at which ones.
Are you seeing an LLMD? Very important.

The EM rash is a sign of lyme infection from a tic bite. Every tic bite will not result in a rash. This is because some of the tics may not actually be carrying lyme and because sometimes you just don't get the rash.
With that many tics on you, I would definitely get tested and start antibiotics ASAP. Your risk seems very large, and 6 weeks of doxy could help prevent years of suffering.
If you are going to spend time in areas with tics, you should really get a tic remover. Pulling them off is not a good way to remove tics. Improper removal of tics increases the chance of lyme transmission.

Hello, The strange streak, was near the bites on my lower back about as long as a pencil and red, kind of like a thick scratch. It is on my side, not a stretch mark and is fading like the Em.
Tics are just so awful.I never had a clue they carried so many diseases. And from what I have read it is kind of hard to pinpoint the type from missouri ( Lyme spirokette).
Sorry Bea I did not mean to take offense so easily... I mean I wonder if some people just attract more tics? Because I sure do.I made the mistake of wearing darker clothing.Maybe they thought I was a deer?
I am going to take the Doxy for a total of six weeks.Doc said have to wait 6 weeks after abx for blood test to show up right.IF I still have anything going on I will try to see an LLMD.
Try to have a good weekend all
