I may have found a LLMD and have a Western Blot test done. Have had low immune system so failed Wester blot, that was 5 years ago. Had positive test at Bowen labs a year ago, had tick bite, saw tick, didn't know what it was, had bullseye rash, and many, many of Dr. B's symptoms.
If I do get into this LLMD, I will share info with those who have responded to my previous posts.
For all I know, he could say, there is no cronic Lyme, you're crazy, you're lazy, do you need to talk to a professional?
Comments from my past, along with "there is no Lyme in Michigan". It takes more than one tick bite to get Lymes (id doc couldn't even say proper pronouncement of disease), or the classic, after they leave the room and probably check computer, "I can't do anything for you"
Don't get me wrong, I will fight to the end and hope to beat it or put it in remission.
Anyone heard from Tincup lately. she used to answer my questions when I lived on Maui. Thanks for replys. Feel free to email me. Jane
HAve been to 12 doctors in 5 states and there is no one but DR.C and I can'y afford to travel that far. No money.

Jane, you are in luck; Tincup came out of her hibernation this week! Be sure to see her post asking how everyone is! You might copy this post & any others to her post. Perhaps she could give you some guidance with ALL her circle of friends/LLMDs, etc.

Jane, I couldn't understand this ... did you or WILL have a western blot igm/igg done in FUTURE? pLEASE CLARIFY.

Your post asks about being on abx or off for it.

my 1st time, I wasn't on abx since I didn't know I had it.

2nd time, 4-06, LLMD had me TAKE MY ABX, and it showed some lyme but not as many positives as 2 years ago.

An afternoon draw Mon. - Wed. has a better chance of being positive.

Funny thing is he could have done these tests last january, but I had to ask him to do some tests.

You could still have him request a WESTERN BLOT IGM/IGG be done only at IGENEX, CALIF. He would have to sign IGX;s SPECIAL REQUEST FORM, put a diagnosis code on, his dr. no., and medicare no. if that applies to you.

Be sure to write on YOUR drs. blood draw form you are wanting to have IGENEX do this & supply them with the full mailing address. Also, FAX RESULTS TO MD and snail a paper copy to the MD as well.

My results were lost/misplaced by local clinic & I had to keep pursuing w/clinic to GET my results & deliver to me after 4 wks. waiting time.

Faxed copies are normally ready in 1 wk. vs. 3 wks. snail mail! Helps the anxiety level.

Go to www.igenex.com for their 1-800 toll free no. to find out how much the PRE-PAY CHARGES are currently. Last year, they changed twice; they don't have them on the web site, but wlll send you a copy of all tests/charges. Best wishes.
