I tried the tea when I had yeast problems. I couldn't stand the taste, but my boyfriend at the time loved it so much he still drinks it.

I've read that you can also use this to treat foot fungus, by soaking your feet in it.

Does it have to be a tea or does the liquid supplement work well too?

It works for yeast/ fungus.
The tea, you have to boil it for at least 20 minutes to get some of the good chemicals you need. These chemicals are not very water soluble.
The best are tinctures, you can make by yourself. It's powerful and you need only 30 drops a day while the tea, you need 3 cups taken 3 times a day minimum.

I make decoctions from Pao D'Arco together with several other herbs. Actually I take too many herbs to say, whether this special one is working for something or not.
Efficiency of the decoction can be improved by lowering the PH of the brew. So something acidic (like Vit.C for example) might be added when putting herbs and water together.

From what I have read, the tea or liquid form is not as potant as the dried or pill form. And it has to be (Tabebuia impetiginosa) the inner bark of the tree to be effective.
I did the teas and liquid for some time... but when I switched to the capusles WOW I herxed liked crazy... (It kills bacteria, parasites, and fungus)
It is fairly inexpessive, I found it at my local vitamin store for about $6 a bottle for a 100 capsules.

Each pill has 545mg, I take one capsule a couple of times a week. I would say 2 -3 caps a week. (I don't think I could handle more then that) Some people can, so its up to you.
I got a big bag of Pau D'Arco straight from the Andes, decocted and drank it every day for about 3-4 months, and noticed absolutely no improvement.
